Why can football in this country not move on from the concept that pace, physicality etc is the most important thing in playing the game; when time and time again at tournaments we are always shown up by a lack of technique and intelligence in comparison?

Until this becomes clear at the grass roots, schoolboy level of coaching, we will never compete.

Yet at the younger levels we dominate now. We have some vergy good technical players at youth level.
The problem is that at senior level the players are overhyped due to the nature of the prem and sky and fans believe it. No winter break hurts aswell.

I’ve just heard from someone reliable that Kane is signing/ has signed with Jorge Mendes and it’s to be announced after the World Cup...

Make of that what you will, but having him in Harry’s ear wouldn’t be good for us.

Not sure where I heard it but am sure someone said recently that a number of top players were looking to hook up with super agents

Let’s hope he signs his next contract with us then before that happens!

Nothing against you but when Trent Alexander Arnold and Joe Gomez are more expensive than Varane? WALOB

I would still place Messi above Kane though for now
Oh yeah don't get me wrong, I'm not taking it as gospel. A lot of it doesn't stack up, but it's still pretty remarkable a case can be made.

I still remember him struggling at Norwich!

No idea what the story is behind this or if it’s even real. Anyone know the story ?

It's heartening to see a few of them starting to play in places like Germany.

Gazza been on the top shelf again unfortunately, from Evening Standard

Gascoigne feels that Tottenham would be convinced into selling their prized asset for £100m.

"It's player power now," Gascoigne told BetStars. "If the money is right and Tottenham want to sell him, they will do.

"That's the thing nowadays is players have too much power, with their agents.

"If a team comes in with £100 million for Harry Kane, I don't think Spurs will turn it down."
