Surely this finally puts an end to the World Class debate?!
He only scores penalties, tap ins and deflections though.

Even though nobody questions Griezmann's ability, despite 3/4 of his goals being penalties.

Southgate needs to do some solid planning in the next few months. The reason Kane hasn't performed as effectively for England as he has for Spurs isn't down to his ability, but Southgate's system. The same goes for Alli and even Sterling too. If he can figure out the correct way to use those players, England has a real shot in 2020.

Nope. It just continues.

Season 1: "One season wonder"
Season 2: "Doesn't do it against the big clubs"
Season 3: "Can't do it in the Champions League"
Season 4: "Harry Claim can't do it for England"

and now he's won the golden boot, all I'm seeing is "Penalties, deflections and tap-ins".

Meanwhile, Salah has a good first season and he has documentaries, cults and Ballon D'or elect.

If Kane can win the Golden Boot whilst playing poorly, imagine what he could have done on form with an actual midfield behind him

Just said this to a friend when they mentioned it was mostly penalties... no one would be saying this if it was Messi or Ronaldo winning the golden boot. Also just saw a pool fan tweet thats he's average and spurs will never win anything with him upfront :ROFLMAO: I get there being rivalries but surely a football fan can appreciate a good player when they see one.

I really didn’t think he’d win it at the start of the tournament but so glad he has.

Now to blast in another 30 league goals next season!

What is it about Kane that he receives sooo much negativity? He scores, he holds up the ball, he runs, he's a gentleman on the pitch, etc. etc. Is it purely because he's a Spurs player? It's absolutely beyond my comprehension.

Thats exactly why, most internet age football fans grew up in the 90's early 2000's and its unsettling to them that Spurs aren't shit anymore

Yea it's not like he got sent off in a vital match. If anything I think he will finally get the respect he deserves.

Same reason (imo) why Scholes doesn't get the universal appreciation he deserves - people don't (unfortunately) aspire to be like, or adore, the quiet, humble and hard working players.

In a weird way, FIFA's "the journey" represents this quite well - if you are well mannered and humble, you don't get followers etc. - if you act the ****, your popularity increases.

Hated in England because he's a Spurs player. Hated worldwide because he's English.

Pretty sure he didn’t get an assist. And the 25km can’t be right. Average player runs about 11 km in a match so he’s run a lot more than 25km. Anyways proud of him. When the dust settles on the tap in nonesense all will be remembered is his golden boot.
