I’d be very surprised if he didn’t start. But I’m sure there’s some rotation in mind for West Ham. My thought would be have it won at 70 mins and haul him off.

The problem with this is it’s great in theory, but almost always never works out like that. What happens is he then stays on for 90 mins and then we have a more difficult, higher intensity game 48hrs later.

There are no easy games, but Swansea are the worst team in the league. Keep him on the bench and fresh for West Ham..... unless of course Pep is right and we are just the Harry Kane team.

They just won their last game under a new manager with two goals in the last few minutes - they will believe again and will not be pushovers, especially at home in front of a newly hopeful crowd.

Also we have had a 7 day rest there’s no reason we can’t get two games out of harry imo . A cold isn’t much

He will be begging to play against Swansea. He wants to join the 'three hat-tricks in a row' club!

It can be. It you can't breathe, you can't get enough oxygen to run around for 90 minutes. Plus it can leave you debilitated.

The worst thing about a cold is that you just feel so weak and fatigued. It's hard to breath and you often get a headache and stomach cramps and your muscles and joints ache and you get diarrhoea and lose your appetite and your internal organs turn to mush and you vomit blood and bleed out from your nose, anus and eyes :(.

Well that's what happens in Sierra Leone anyway. English colds might be different :meh:.

English colds make you sound funny when you speak, and because you breathe through your mouth more than usual, they make you burp a lot.

Forgive me for posting such tripe but I’d like you to read this expulsion of excrement:

http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/harry-kane-been-exceptional-tottenham-11776606.amp

The second Kane does one of the things this “writer” wants him to do in order to be considered world class (ignoring the fact he’s already scored against top six teams when the score’s 0-0), he’ll undoubtedly create yet another hurdle for him to overcome.

"Over the years, lots of strikers have scored top-flight goals.

Micky Quinn, Ian Wright, Les Ferdinand, Alan Shearer, Robbie Fowler, Chris Sutton, me…"

Harry Kane has already scored more league goals than Collymore did his entire career... What a muppet.

Finishing 3rd and then 2nd in the league and top scorer for both those seasons! Is that not Kane taking the club beyond where they would reasonably expected to be?!!

As great as all Harry's awards are I think Mrs Kane's gardening trophy that we can see in the background is much more impressive!

Im not putting this in the itk thread as i dont want to derail that thing even further plus it really belongs in a thread to discuss this stuff which we currently dont have.

But i cant believe people in there are seriously suggesting that Levy wouldnt sell Kane for £300m. If people honestly believe that, I have an oceanfront property in Iowa to sell you. That smashes the world record transfer fee and pays for much of the new stadium. Someone offers us that or even close to that in the summer, Levy would 100% take it.

Levy is a businessman.

When it comes to deals, world records don't interest him.

If he has an asset which he thinks is worth more than £300m, do you really think he'd sell it at below value just because it would break the record ? No: Levy is not a cash-trader. The debt doesn't alter the value of his assets since cash is not the issue. He deals in value.

Kane’s value now must be over 200m. I would think offers of 250m + would be accepted by Levy

But in the end it’s up to Harry. I’m sure if Kane is happy at the club then Levy wouldn’t be interested in a sale unless it was a 'dizzying amount' which he’s been quoted before when discussing past players

If Kane wants to stay then I don't think there is a fee that would make Levy push him out of the door. It would ruin his legacy.
