Hopefully him putting pen to paper on a new deal will shut them up for a couple of months.

Told negotiations are at an advanced stage.

We should announce it the week before we move into the new stadium. For momentum and stfu purposes.

Kane is player of the month AGAIN

Tottenham striker Harry Kane has equalled Steven Gerrard's Premier League record with his sixth Player of the Month award.

Kane scored eight goals in six December matches, including back-to-back hat-tricks against Burnley and Southampton, to set a record of 39 Premier League goals in a calendar year.

"I'd probably say my favourite goal was the one that broke the [calendar year] record against Southampton," said Kane

"Obviously there's a lot of talk before the game about whether I'd do it or not so to get that goal early on in the game as well, it was a great achievement."

anything coming from Diario Gol and Don Balon can be dismissed as false. Utter rubbish. Fiction and fantasy. Amazing the UK press picks it up but that is the idea.. clicks and raising its profile. Rumours are fun, after all. Icardi was having a medical at RM the other day according to one of them. Uh huh.

Great news about the POTM. One more to go and he'll be out on his own...

No player in Premier League history has won more Player of the Month awards than Harry Kane (6).

I so wish he can win a trophy with us, then he can throw all these MOTM awards, POTM awards, golden boots, hat trick match balls at everyone.

Saw some news article earlier suggesting that United fans were angry that Lingard didn't win it.

Would like to see what other supporters think of Kane equalling Gerrard's record. Had a quick look on Arsenal and United forums and couldn't see any comments whatsoever.

Lingard is a jarring little ****, with his shit dancing. Feel like you should be booked if you aren't polite and reserved in your celebrations. A gentle nod of the head and maybe clenching your fist is as far as it should go.

Gotta say, Adebayor's celebration for City vs Arsenal still makes me laugh. A lot.

Lingard has had a very good month, but who can argue with 8 in 6 including two hattricks. I mean come on.

Steady on old chap, clenching one's fist is a little much. A nod of the head towards the supporters and a brief handshake with the player who supplied the scoring pass are acceptable. Anything else is undignified and, let's be honest, a bit girly.

The only player in the league who ever celebrates in an acceptable manner is Dele Alli, and for some reason he gets abuse for it.

While we're here can we talk about players who wear boots that contain any colour that isn't black? Absolutely lacking in any form of manliness as far as the word means anything. In my day we'd have squeezed the half-time orange slices into their eyes to toughen them up a bit.

As for players who go to ground after a bit of a tap from an opponent's boot- particularly the ones who scream- rule 93, article 16* of the original rules of association football clearly stated "no blood no foul", and falling over without broken bones poking through one's skin was a lifetime ban from not only football but any other game intended to be played by proper men.

*I may have made this part up.

Edit: Harry Kane thread. Erm, yeah I like him, he does goals and stuff.

Nah, a clenched fist is far to aggressive and should be banned.

Our Harry is above all that nonsense thankfully which is why he has his palm open as he likes to mimic the motion of a dolphin jumping out of the water. Much more tasteful.
