He hasn’t looked explosive or sharp since the turn of the year. Not sure if it’s fatigue or is he carrying an injury?
Agree
But some of the comments are personal and scathing for a player who has been awesome for us the last few years

Personally I think we give kane the rest of the season off, a bit of rest before the World Cup and comes back afterwards for the better ready for next season and hopefully score in August.

Yet again it was him versus 2 centre backs.

I think we might need to go 442 to get the best out of him again. He’s being marked out of games and is obviously struggling after injury. He needs more help up there. Playing llorente will actually occupy the centrebacks and give him more space. Worth a try.

I thought he actually looked up for it and sharp first 20 or so. But then United pushed up and he got isolated a bit and couldn't get into the game after that. Still don't think he's 100% mind.

This place has attracted a large number of proper morons this season.

I begin to resent the internet and the fact that so many of these morons have access to it.

He’s not even 70%. Still would back to finish if given some clear cut chances, but a huge part of his game is his physicality. He makes up for a lack of pace with his sharpness, strength and fitness and it’s judt not there.

Clearly rushed back too soon, but that’s because we are so dependent on him. Son is a very good player, but against good teams we can’t hold the ball up when he’s played as an out and out striker.

It’s the reason fans have been banging on and on about having no real like for like alternative. We may not be able to get anyone as good, but we need another decent number 9.

Kane isn’t the problem, he’s just an out of form striker. The problem is our fans. When did our fan base become diluted with such a pathetic bunch of fifa generation rage babies?

Still easily the best striker in the league but simply not fully fit.

Today was damned if we do, demanded if we don’t, it’s what happens when you’ve got a player ridiculously better than his so called replacement.

Days like today will only speed up his exit unfortunately. He’ll be gone sooner rather than later. Too good for us.

I prefer Harry deeper, last season he scored a few goals from outside the box. Seems to have turned into goal hanger and is easily marked.

I do wonder what is going on here. Technically Harry must be fit & it was said the physios declared him fit for Chelsea weeks ago. If he wasn't fit wouldn't he be making the injury worse by playing on it? Not sure he would risk that in a world cup year.
To be fair the service has been non existant, that said he had a couple of chances to turn & shoot in the first half and laid it off and in those instances he didn't look fully fit. Would he have benefited from taking longer to recover or is his ankle ok & it's a confidence issue?
A fully fit Harry would have ran through brick walls to drag us through that game today so something seems off.
Perhaps someone with a better understanding of ankles than me can offer some insight.

Just sharpness. IMO.

Harry Kane knows his game inside out, when he is fully match fit he is a strong runner with the ball at his feet, has the technique to move away from defenders with the ball and has enough skill to create room for himself and others. but he is not (and has never been) quick, so any slight dip in his levels mean he looks sluggish and heavy legged and where as he usually gets that half yard to get his shot off he can't get away from his markers ATM so everything is getting blocked or stolen from his toes.

Thanks, that all makes sense.
He was playing golf the other day, if he was nursing an injury I would have thought he would be home resting so I'm just a bit confused.
I guess some players take longer to regain sharpness after injury.
Just a shame that's all, NLD beast Harry could have made the difference today. I've never seen him so subdued. Not even shouting trying to raise others etc, perhaps as he couldn't lead by example himself.
