Hope he doesn't play in the 3/4th play-off.
That goes for any of the other Tottenham players too - we have more than done our bit for england.
So now they should come home.

Pretty sure he'll start. Goals in the play off count towards the golden boot. I know it's unlikely anyone catches him but if Lukaku plays he is on 4 and has an assist.

He has not been right since he did his ankle. No spark to him. He might have scored goals but he is nowhere near what he was.
He's not looked right at the World Cup because Southgate hasn't played him as a striker. He's played him as a link man for people to run off, and had him chasing down all over the pitch. For all Southgate's good, it's criminal the way he looked to use Kane.

Needs a rest, hasn't looked right this world cup but as others have said, not been used right. But I think this is down to us not having an Eriksen in the team, Kane has dropped deeper to try and find the passes that the likes of Eriksen/Dembele/Winks do for us.

I hope Winks has a big season for us, England are crying out for someone of his ability to be in that team. Poch has done a fantastic job of producing 5 players for that England squad...lets hope he can continue that.

Would love Kane to get the golden boot, think he will be aiming for that and would want to play Saturday but he really does need a rest. Would like to see him and Rashford start with RLC in midfielder with Henderson or Dier.

Why do people keep asking for Rashford. All his done at the WC is run down blind alleys and into people.

Sadly i have to agree, at the very highest level, you have to put those types of chances away - Don't agree about squaring as no striker in the world is passing in that situation.

Yeah, not shocked he didn’t pass - but he has to score.

Not sure why a few people have negged me for it, I love the guy but he missed from a fucking foot out after that as well.

He was deployed idiotically by Southgate yesterday, but anybody that doesn’t think he should’ve scored then is drunk/high.

The main problem was an absolute lack of midfield though. Sterling for RLC/Delph should’ve happened around the 60th minute, when it was abundantly clear they were going to pull us around relentlessly.

Because he is 20 years old and has the potential to be a big player for this England squad for years to come. Having said that I don't think him staying at United under Jose will help his potential future with England.

What the fuck, man? How does the best striker in the world not put that away, or square it?

2-0 and it’s curtains
I actually felt the angle was against him wherever he tried to place it in this position.

Easy for me to sit here and tell Harry Kane what to do but, in hindsight, dummying to go far post but dragging it to his left to sell the 'keeper seemed a more obvious choice.

Poor finish but everyone seems to be overlooking the fact he was flagged for offside?

VAR check means it would have stood as I believe he was just onside from the replays if I remember right.

Either way, it was unexpected from Kane, that just shows the level he has set himself, we expect him to finish everything. Subasic was quick to react to the situation which made it harder for Kane.

Let's be fair, if he'd squared it to Sterling, Sterling would have taken a touch, turned back, tried to beat a man and won a corner.

Weird tournament, didn't play to his best because he was played out of position but still did an excellent job nonetheless. Will most probably end up top scorer despite him not being our best player but nonetheless his stock will rise.

Now he needs some rest, must be mentally and physically burnt out, don't think we'll see him until late August which leaves us kinda fucked seeing as we won't have Son either.

Don’t think it’s as easy as it looks. He basically only has the bottom right hand corner to aim for. Best would probably have been to dummy keeper let him go to ground and dink it. But all easy in hindsight.

You know for us there though (where his donkey work is much less) he would've just dragged that onto his left side and driven it in the far corner or placed it into the near.

Running around it to get it onto his right foot smacks of someone trying to make sure rather than let his natural instincts take over. Which is understandable given how few actual chances he's had from open play in the tournament and the situation in the game.

The sad thing is that people are/will be talking about the Kane miss, even though the amount of positions that Sterling and Lingard got into that should have turned into glorious chances just ended up with them trying to dribble a bit more and fucking it up.

Tbh if he wins golden boot I think that’s what he will be remembered for. People will forget how he scored them in 6 months. And he will always be Harry Kane World Cup golden boot winner.

Just wonder what the Mo Salah fans will say about it if HK does win the Golden Boot at this tournament.
Can imagine really bad mouthing coming his way from those scousers' supporters.
