Pretty sure he didn’t get an assist. And the 25km can’t be right. Average player runs about 11 km in a match so he’s run a lot more than 25km. Anyways proud of him. When the dust settles on the tap in nonesense all will be remembered is his golden boot.
Most of them stats are wrong.

His passing was around 75%
Running was near 65km

The level of animosity towards him on social media now is really quite sad.

Dude has dedicated himself to squeezing every last drop out of his natural talent, only to be continuously ****ed off by some 24 year old virgin on Twitter with a Salah profile.

It's just not right.

Not sure about the stats tbh. Saw this in my brief hunt though, which is funny

I spoke to a few arsneal fans whilst watching an England game and they were behind Kane and put rivalries aside for the greater good! Do think you will always get the few dickheads who will knock him but he will be back as the premier league's highest scorer again! And maybe a goal in August too!

Unfortunately I think it’s definitely a social media thing. I don’t remember Lineker or Shearer getting any hate at all. Lineker was the biggest tap in merchant of them all which he freely admits himself. I might be wrong but I’m sure there’s some crazy stat that Lineker never scored from outside the area might just have been for England. And Shearer was adored by the whole nation, don’t remember a bad word said about him. I have to say before social media I was completely indifferent towards Liverpool as a club. Infact if anything they were probably one of my favourite non spurs teams. But now I absolutely despise them. There’s no question social media has intensified rivalries between clubs you never even had a 2nd thought about before.

Can't find the original quotes, but thoughts from people on this from Kane, might need to click to read the whole thread...

Kane wants to play in every game. Poch, being the incredible man manager that he is, needs to have an in depth conversation with Kane to decide what is best for him AND the club.

If they decide he plays, I will support them. However I think he should be given a lengthy rest.

Thing is we need Kane for the start of the season, same with vertonghen.

These two have no equal or even close understudy to take over even for a week or two.

I'm less worried about missing Kane for 2/3 games than Vertonghen. We have shown in the past that in short bursts we can live without Kane. I'd hate to lose him permanently, mind.

Most of the players had a week or two off between the end of the season and joining up with the international teams.

Kane's comments about how players have to continue to keep fit etc. over the summer, and the main thing being mental rest, for me makes a lot of sense. I'm not sure they need as much time off as some people suggest. I actually think he's being pretty sensible. But obviously the medical staff need to assess that and make the best decision for him.

Yea but we’ll have no son or dele either for the start of the season meaning Llorente will play.

Two weeks off then a week training before the last preseason game on the 4th I think they’ll get.

Tbh I’m not quite sure why people think Kane is so in need of rest. He had x2 3 week breaks during last season with his injuries. I think the fact he’s been sub par since his last injury means everyone is assuming he’s tired. But someone like vertonghen is 6 years older and didn’t miss a game last season. I’m not saying that Kane shouldn’t be treated carefully but essentially he had two mid season breaks last season.

Our injured players work really hard rehabbing, I don't think it's much of a rest at all.

I don't know personally, but for me a rest would have to be fully switching off from football for 2-3 weeks or more. Of course, keeping in shape, but a complete mental break from it all.

The thing about Kane is he can “look tired”. By that I mean when he’s slightly off it he can lumber about a bit and look more like 34 than 24. So it just seems much more obvious than someone like dele who is much more lithe and athletic. Dele played just as much football as Kane if not more. But I don’t think people are quite as concerned about him as they are about Kane.

Exactly. Straight after he came back from his last injury, people on here (me included, admittedly) claimed he looked tired and unfit, and this continued until the end of the season. He knows his body better than us.

That said, it'd be useful if we bought another forward player to ease the load on Harry - particularly if Son is gonna miss the 1st month of the season.
