Just witness that look on lukaku's stupid face, has he finally realised that Kane is head and shoulders better than him and he does in fact need to learn from him? I hope so, arrogant twat.

Even AJ from the lane knows:

That interview still really irks me, even to this day!

I’m beginning to think that Kane not giving quite the all action displays of old is not a case of him regressing, but instead him adapting. As much as we loved the Uber 9 Kane, I think he’s identified, perhaps selfishly, that the more he does of that, the more likely he is to run out of gas by April and the fewer goals he’ll score. It’s like he’s thought to himself ‘yeah, Sheringham and Bergkamp were great players, but Shearer and Van Nistelrooy scored more goals).

As long as he still mucks in when needs must (midfield not producing or just generally under the cosh), I can live with this.

That was another delicious assist again for Moura's second on Monday night.

Trademark HK look up from the half way line and 'ping'

Not bad for a tap in merchant / goal-hanging /diving cheat.

Amazing interview last night. He mentioned us going for the Title 3 or 4 times - its clear the players actually believe they are contenders and for me that is a big part of the battle right there.

It’s definitely a different mindset. They’re talking openly about it now rather than being sheepish about it. They’ve got to back it up though else we will just look silly.

I know its not allowed to be critical of Kane but he has been pretty poor for a long time now. Sure he scores goals but as a team we are not as fluid as when we played the Chelsea game away with Lamela Son Eriksen and Son.

I think he needs to find a way of playing better when the focus is not just on him... Had a good chance from the left where he failed to make the pass to Lucas that would have likely killed the game. He is 70% of the player he was in the 2016/2017 season when he scored tremendous goals from outside the box.

Agree we looked fluid with that trio although it will be a while until we can field them again. We shouldn’t forget Kane had played some lovely passes this year already although today he was poor and outdone in most departments.

One reason I’m a little reticent to knock him too much is that he’s so often being flogged for want of a better alternative and our abysmal transfer window made our reliance on him greater especially as his usual replacement Son was definitely away.

Unfortunately I agree wholeheartedly.

It's ludicrous to say it as his stats are still superb but I don't think he's had what I'd class as a great game of football for quite a while to be honest. Not sure if it's just me but he just doesn't look as mobile as he has done in past. Not sure if it's because he's bulked up or if he hasn't quite got over his injuries but just how he carries the ball feels slower and more sluggish that it was.

Just watch that goal he scored against Soton vs Van Dijk compared to recent times. Haven't seen it again but when he was two on one and tried to pass to Lucas I feel Kane of past would have drove forward much quicker than he seems capable of. I dunno, feels dirty and irrelevant if he's scoring goals but I don't think he's playing well and not sure why.

So slow and lumbering these days.
I swear Llorente was faster today when he came on.

That's true, he used to score alot of goal of the month contenders.
But I think that might be because he wasn't so heavily targeted back then.

it's since the bournemouth injury, he's not getting shots away at anywhere close to his standard rate either. his performance last season at home to liverpool where he completely mullered them was peak kane, i hope he proves me wrong but i don't think he's got anywhere near that level of performance in him right now.

I think he will come godo again and no matter how poor his performances are we have got to keep him on the pitch eg against Manure he was woeful first half but scored the goal that set us on our way

However

At present he is resembling the Harry Kane that first came onto the scene

Surely it should be about how well the team plays and winning not just about helping one player break the premier league record.

today's result aside, we are winning a lot of games still. Kane's a hell of a player, if one thing isnt working he'll find another way to score.

To me he has become too much of a team player - he needs to get back to where he was before - make space Defoe like and shoot - he is our Centre forward act like it

When he first came onto the scene, he was scoring a lot of goals by picking it up 20 yards out, getting it out of feet, and hitting it low across goal into the bottom corners. I remember thinking of that as a trademark Harry Kane goal. Feels like a long time since he's done that, however

Just don't know whats wrong with Harry...

He was the player you would want to be playing in the school yard before.. He's not been that player for a good while now. If i was a kid playing id be arguing that i want to be lucas and yeh you can be Kane.
