It's called being a professional. Comes with the territory.

Do you really think Kane is up multiple times a night feeding etc.

Pretty sure his wife understands and is taking care of it.

People so eager to make excuses for Kane's poor outfield form.

Let's just get this clear for the sake of blowing this up unnecessarily. Kane's form has been less than what he is capable of and rightly so a concern. But to call it poor is not accurate considering the numbers he's achieving.

Not a dig at you but directed at everyone who seems to be in panic mode.

Those of us calling his form poor are commenting on his overall outfield. Which has been poor.

I have hit agree because I do. But there is something up. I posted 2 heat maps of his performances against watford (but the post has been deleted) and he had more ball in better areas in the game this season than he did against them when we won 4 nil 2 years ago.

I think its either he's had a dip in confidence, defenders give him absolutely no time on the ball, he's no longer a surprise entity and he maybe isn't getting the service he should.

Personally, I think he's bulked up too much is part of it, he looks less nimble. This sounds ridiculous but I was looking at his calves the other day in the england game and he has the biggest in the team. Has he possibly put on too much muscle. I feel ridiculous typing it but its something that stuck in my head!

Maybe that's why we tried to sign Grealish:)

Llorente just don't fit our style of play - if played to his strength he did play well for different clubs.

Janssen was a punt - he had 4 good month in Eredivise, and a couple of goals for a very mediocre dutch team

We should be a bit more flexible in style of play to get best of players line Llorente.

Poch needs to be flexible and not just rely on same tactics each match, we’ll have Son back so could easily stick Llorente up top and get Moura and Son to play either side of him.

Lets give the lad a break, shall we? He's been playing like Marco Van Basten for 4 years now, and without any let up. He's become a talisman, the captain of his country, and just became the highest goalscorer at a world cup. It's sensational what he's done, and I think it's completely normal for anyone like that to hit a wall in form and mentality at some point. He's still scoring throughout all of this though, and he keeps on being chipper about it.

He's a Spurs legend, and all we need to do is let him know we're all behind him at the games. He'll play through it, maybe even change his game up like Shearer did. Either way he's still integral to us and this era of our club.

Good to see Harry getting a rest tonight. Gives him more time to hit the weights!!

Those of us who have all watched him game in game out can clearly see something is up going way back to when he came back very early from his last injury

Maybe he’s bulked up too much. Maybe he’s mentally or physically tired. Maybe the ankle niggles him.

I don’t buy the idea that he’s been found out or given even less time

The oddest thing for me is the difference in the number of long range shots per game he has these days which for me points to the ankle

Would love to see some stats pre and post injury

Someone posted a stat showing how his top speed has dropped from 33 kph to 27 kph after injury and 25 kph ,at the World Cup.
Is this for real or just a made up stat based on people's perception of Kane's performances since injury?

When you look at his pre injury goals/performances there does seem to be a marked difference in his overall mobility/agility but you would think that the coaching staff at Spurs would pick up something as glaring as that and address it, wouldn't you?

Good to see he’ll be rested for next england game as pretty pointless thrashing him in them.

England need to be experimenting and finding alternatives as wel.

You must be the life and soul of the party ;)

Sorry mate. Thought the Harry Kane thread might be a good place to discuss, you know, Harry Kane. If you find it boring maybe check out the Lucas Moura thread. He's had an eventful day.

Just saw this and thought it was interesting.

Is this the new thing? People whack stuff into graphs that dont say anything, look kind of complicated but actually communicate no meaningful information on social media so people can retweet and appear like they know things?

And dont tell me to go to the Lucas Moura thread, ive got issues in that one too, fucking spikey cheese-ring graph bullshit i have no forgiven yet.
