It's not all doom and gloom, we had half our first choice XI out injured. Although, yeah, Harry was by far our best player tonight

Kane and Poch realized the only way to get past Barca was to feed the second best player on the pitch. We changed the plan, Kane dropped deep, sprayed the ball and then scored a fine goal. With ease and finesse. Harry Kane is a phenomenal player. He can really do it all.

....Kane, Henderson and Dier are huge enforcers of. Said that Kane trains in a superhuman way and basically has the drive to be better than any player in any position. Therefore nobody is 'allowed' to have an ego as Kane could pretty much learn to do their job. Said that mentality is what wins you tournaments. LOVES that the spurs boys turn up and, regardless of who they are, they have the mentality to win and be professional role models. Speaks to Poch a lot.

He is back and he has now scored against everyone - like he is seriously world class.

Yep he's definitely back. He was just out of sorts for a while, but that happens to all strikers. I'd be amazed if he doesn't start scoring for fun again now. The anticipation of that is exciting.

Our goal scoring ratio as a team is pretty crazy. We’ve scored in something like 39 of last 40 matches in all comps. That goes right back to NLD at emirates. Only game we didn’t score was WBA.

Never scored against Cardiff City. I believe they're the only Premier League team he's ever faced and failed to score against.

Well, until Saturday... (y)

Just saw some stats that December January February are his best months. Maybe he just likes it cold.

Can't tell wether he is dropping deep to receive the ball or he is instructed to lineup there from Poch. I did notice at one point when Sanchez passed back to Lloris like three times in a minute Harry dropped all the way to defensive midfield to try to get in on the action. I'd lean towards he's dropping deep to receiver the ball as Lucas or Son weren't even staying on the last man anyways.

It makes no sense to me. We have one of the best number 9’s in the world and he’s basically playing in midfield.

Think it's a bit of Kanes mentality as he wants to get in there and make everything happen himself.

Seems strange though as Kane has always had that mentality, but he wasn’t doing that before. Unless his experience with England has convinced him and Poch that that is what he should be doing?

If so Southgate has a lot to answer for because the only reason he does that for England is we don’t have a midfield.

If this Spurs team need Kane doing everything from deep then it doesn’t bode well for us.

Yes it’s great they he’s such a good all round player, but his starting position should be leading the line. He’s 25, not 35 trying to prolong his career.
