Seems strange though as Kane has always had that mentality, but he wasn’t doing that before. Unless his experience with England has convinced him and Poch that that is what he should be doing?

If so Southgate has a lot to answer for because the only reason he does that for England is we don’t have a midfield.

If this Spurs team need Kane doing everything from deep then it doesn’t bode well for us.

Yes it’s great they he’s such a good all round player, but his starting position should be leading the line. He’s 25, not 35 trying to prolong his career.
I think it's a matter of how the teams playing right now, we've been poor in midfield in the past but it hasn't been this bad. So Kane is trying to get in there and help out to advance the ball.

He's clearly playing there at times (for us and for England) to manage him through every single minute of every single fucking game. They accommodate him and enable him to stand around in the No.10 pocket and drift in and out of the game, whilst someone else does the running up top for him.

But as I said in the summer, I don't want to see this version of Kane in all honesty. For him, as a Spurs fan, actually as football fan I want to see players at their best as often as possible. We haven't seen the run through brick walls for the team 100% Kane that first came into the side for at least 6 months and I'd argue closer to 12 months now. What club and country are doing is in my opinion slowly slowly grinding him into the ground - however many goals he still scores presently.

Its not really helping - because even when he feeds Lucas or Son - then they attack the box without Kane as an outlet.

It may be frustrating to him, but we are better when he leads the line, even if we struggle to move the ball through the midfield.

Would be nice to see a heat map of Harry’s positioning today.

Yep and I’m sure it would confirm he spent more time in midfield. I sit on the half way line and he was basically lining up at the tip of a diamond, with Lucas and Son ahead of him.

There were times when he was the furthest forward, but it was rare. At least in the first half.

Last season everyone was passing to Harry at any opportunity, this year has changed because Deli, Moura, Son, Erickson have all gone themselves or chosen alternate options on multiple occasions. May not seem much but it could easily be a 5 goal swing, especially when I don’t think anyone has scored when they did this.

Kane was playing in Eriksens position, because Eriksen is injured and we don't have a solid replacement for him. Son and Lucas were the forwards. Personally I think he did alright, but Son and Lucas both fluffed their lines.

I think it was a case of Poch giving him more opportunities to flesh out his game, in a match that was low risk.

Don't agree with it like. Games like that, I'd play llorente, with trips and Davies pushed up to ping crosses in. But hey, that's my uncultured, unsophisticated English approach talking, what do I know?

Can't tell wether he is dropping deep to receive the ball or he is instructed to lineup there from Poch. I did notice at one point when Sanchez passed back to Lloris like three times in a minute Harry dropped all the way to defensive midfield to try to get in on the action. I'd lean towards he's dropping deep to receiver the ball as Lucas or Son weren't even staying on the last man anyways.

Noticed the same and have done all season
Apparently though it's all Moura's fault.

You just know yesterday would have drove him mad not scoring with them being the only team in the PL he hasn’t scored against. I bet he was fuming afterwards.

When will he remember that he’s a striker and not an AM? He’s been playing in midfield all year with and without Eriksen. Its a problem whether we will admit it or not.

Unfortunately he's had to be our creative outlet with Eriksen out and Lamela on the bench, he was basically doing the job nobody else could and he should be commended for that because we got the win. As soon as Eriksen is back Kane will push back up the field imo.

This was sent to me earlier.

The amount of shit he gets online from other teams’ suporters on places like the BBC website is crazy. It all really started from Liverpool fans after he claimed the Stoke goal from Eriksen.

We all know the following, but it’s nice to have it in picture format. This should be plastered over every online forum discussing Kane.

I thought he looked good on Saturday. His all round game was good and he was taking on some more shots from distance. Our best attacks came from him being involved. He definitely gets better service with Alli and Eriksen around though.

Warnocks comments about him really annoyed me though. He's saying that Kane got him sent off. However it was a clear red card and Kane had every right to stick up for Moura there. I'd even go as far as to say if he didn't make a fuss over it the ref might have given a yellow which would have been the wrong call. So yes he did help get the player sent off but that was necessary, justice was served. Kane is like Batman.
