Just been watching Kane warm up for England.

Doesn't look as ripped as he has done previously. Definately not as muscular/toned.

Been absolutely brilliant in that half. Amazing that we have been getting the ball to him and he does things with it, maybe we should keep that in mind instead of knocking it long for Rashford or Sterling.

We look much better in midfield with Winks and Barkley but Kane is head and shoulders above any player on that pitch!

i'd like to see Spurs play a similar formation to what England is doing tonight. I like Harry in the middle of two faster players flanking him. Seems very comfortable in that role. Indeed, he's been excellent tonight.

Sterling seems to be topping all online polls for MOM but Sky didn’t announce the official result. Biased we may be, but I can’t see beyond Kane’s performance.

Brilliant 90 minutes for a lone striker.

thought he had a great team game. still gone think he's the swashbuckling goal threat he was last year. yet.

A testament that he's still such an asset without the goals.

He really is a superstar, hopefully spurs match his ambition because he is probably the third best player in the world atm.

Actually, one more quality season and an impressive champions league and he could even be in with a chance for the Ballon dor.

I hate to say it or even suggest it, but he would fit perfectly in that barca team.

He'd fit perfectly with any team in the world. I think theres a group of Kane, Neymar, De Bruyne, Modric and Hazard who all have a claim for third best player in the world. All depends on your preference.

The people who voted for Sterling must have all been Mancs or people who could only count up to 2 - so all Mancs then.

Not really on topic but, personally speaking, take Kane out of the equation (because we've already got him) , out of all the players you've listed there, I'd take De Bruyne without even thinking about it.

After his pathetic antics in the World Cup (and many times before) , along with pathetic excuse of "I just feel pain more than others" explanation, Neymar doesn't deserve to be mentioned in the same sentence as the best players in the world. In fact, is he much more than a hyped show pony? I've never seen much to make me believe he is.

Hazard, capable of brilliance, but only when it suits him, or if he can be arsed. 'Could be' one of the very best in the world, but application and attitude let him down & keeps him out of that bracket.

Modric, brilliant! Can dictate any game he's involved in. He's proven it time and time again & absolutely deserves to be spoken about in the "best in the world" bracket.

De Bruyne, however, does literally bloody everything. He dominates possession, he passes better than anyone else on the planet, he takes marvellous set-pieces, he assists at a ridiculously consistent level, and he scores almost every type of goal you can think of. He, in my opinion, truly is one of the top 3 players in the world. I'd actually put him above Ronaldo, personally.

Honestly, look at the players you listed, then look at our team. I honestly can't see how De Bruyne isn't the player that the vast majority of supporters would choose to slot into it if they had the choice.

He's had some amazing write ups in the Spanish media, dubbed him "Lord" Kane and one said he looked the most Spanish player on the pitch which may sound odd to us but is pretty enormous over there apparently.
