Without reading the replies I guess there's some hilarious replies that say no trophies etc..

Very decent chance he will be SPOTY currently 2nd favourite at 3/1 behind that cyclist at 7/4. Only way he doesn’t is if people put club allegiance before England World Cup performance.

Kane's goals are glossing over where he is as a player ATM.

Don't get me wrong, if a ball has to drop to anyone in the box i would want it to be him, but his general play is so off the pace ATM it's not even funny, average defenders are reacting first to things, he can't physically get into positions to hurt teams, his shots are being blocked more than ever (due to having to take extra time to take them as he is off the pace)
When he is fit, he can turn defenders and get away from them with his strong running or stand them up and cut it onto either foot shift and shoot, ATM at best in those situations he is getting fouled.

Just looks wrong to me, you can say he got the goals all you want, but the ball won't drop right to him in the box or double deflect in, every week.

I don't think it's manager instructions or that he's playing differently, i just think he can't physically do what he could up until last March. He looks exhausted almost from the first minute.

Gary Neville said when he was playing he had a spell where he didn't have a break for 2 seasons, and he hit the wall and his performances suffered, Harry has had three seasons without a break (barring injury)

Go back and watch one of his better performances from the first half of last season and see the difference (hell go back and watch a poor performance from the beginning of last season and see how his mobility is way off right now)

He is scoring goals as he is and always will be class, but he is a shadow of a fully fit Kane.

I always think back to his goal against Dortmund last season. No way does he score that goal now.

My guess is that this is the Kane we;ll see for the majority of the season. Not necessarily the player we all know, but one who is still so good that he'll score 25 league goals whilst performing "sub par".

After next summer's rest, the league should be afraid.

We arent playing the ball to him in or around the box anywhere near as much as we were or should be.
I guarantee if he ever leaves us the team he joins will get him staying in and around the box and players will be feeding him as much as possible.
I think its amazing he's scored the goals he has this season when hardly any fker seems to want to get the ball to him anywhere near the goal.

It’s not that easy, don’t you think other teams are trying to combat his threat so we are having to come up with new ways to play?

He is playing a different role at the moment because teams were coming to terms with how we were playing, my guess is after Christmas we will go back to having a more direct Kane. You can’t just keep playing the same way in this league, Kane is adapting, it’s the only way to move forward

Oh and it’s not been mentioned in here yet but guessing the Delph as captain news means Kane will hardly feature against USA, which is bloody great news

Agreed. I have noticed this season that most defenses lining up against us really prioritise reducing Harry's space so he does not get to shoot, especially just outside the penalty box. It'll make him a better player in the long run...

I think he has looked good the last month in general but struggles most when playing twice in a few days. When he has a full week before a game he looks his normal self to me. Ideally we need to rotate him with Son during 3 game weeks but I can't see that happening with Chelsea, Inter and Arsenal back to back.

Rooney is coming on as a sub with the captains armband and no.10 shirt.
Kane’s #9. Id think Rooney will start and be subbed off after 20-25’. Delph will get the band and give it to Kane when he comes on at some point in the 2nd half

Yeah I’d be surprised if Kane plays a part. Be a bit odd for Kane to come on be captain then give it to Rooney.

Glad to see him get a game off for once. Thought he was really classy with the whole situation too, so fair play.
