Just waiting for the club to announce Wembley for the rest of the season to top it all off.

Fuck this

See you all in August

August! lol. I’d stay on the ride to misery now, it'll take the sting out when Toby and Christian leave in the summer

Don't worry mate, if the players all share your attitude then we'll be trotting out for Europa League Qualifying in July!

Undoubtedly a massive blow which is only compounded further with Son's international excursion but each time we've had these Kane injury absences we've found a way to win.

We've still got a nucleus of great players at Poch's disposal and as we've seen so often in football, one door closes another one opens for a player to take that opportunity.

Not trying to sugarcoat what is obviously a kick in the bollocks but let's keep our heads eh and see what actually pans out before we all press the panic button!

After the disappointment of the stadium, this is a savage blow. We might prosper in Harry’s absence, but in all probability this makes qualifying for the next stages of the Carabao cup and the CL much, much tougher. The club simply must bring someone in who can stand in for Kane, at least to give the fans a lift, and to convince Pochettino it’s worth staying here.
Of course, they won’t.

The facetiousness is so misplaced, it’s embarrassing how little self-awareness you have here. You, and the happy-clapping echo chamber, are burying your heads in the sand and taking issue with anybody who is actually being realistic about the situation.

Having had a successful season, it was unanimous (except to Levy and some of his luddites) that we needed to strengthen the squad. Otherwise we’d leave ourselves open to being short-handed, and susceptible to an injury crisis. The whole season we’ve somehow performed miracles, even in the midst of an almost constant struggle against waves of injuries - and now it’s hit its peak. Yet you guys want to act like we’re wrong for criticising Levy’s fucking idiotic actions in the last window (and no doubt this window).

We have just lost the best striker in the league to injury, our second top scorer to an international tournament, our one fully fit central midfielder to injury - the other option to China, Eriksen is running his contract down, Toby is free to go for pittance this summer and there is not even a sniff of a concrete link for reinforcements.

You would have to be dense in the extreme to not see the problem with it.

I'm sure you'll get the hump with me marking this as a disagree, so I'll explain my actions. I dont in any way disagree with what youre saying. At all. It's pretty obvious that we gambled with players staying fit and we're losing that bet entirely. Our injuries have been relentless.

What we don't know is how ok poch really was in not signing anyone. There has been a tonne of reports saying he was (and to clarify -- I personally doubt this was the case). But if its true, then is he partly responsible for the situation too. It's an argument to be had maybe.

So what's my problem with your post? It's your absolute inability to see the other side of the argument, or how other people could see an opposing view. That's your perogative. But why the need to call anyone that disagrees 'dense to the extreme'? Everyone is working off the same facts as you, its just some choose to interpret them differently. It's what makes this forum brilliant. Sorry to call you out on this mate, its not just you. I just hate it when people resort to name calling. Anyway -- thats my reason for the disagree. In case you wanted it

Jesus! what's up with his ankles. The blokes gonna have to start watching Eriksen and Hazard more, on how to avoid tackling.

Sissoko getting injured can almost directly be attributed to playing every single game over the Xmas period. The guy was absolutely run into the ground as Poch had no other choice. It was no surprise he did his groin.

So Sissoko’s injury is directly related to the failure to strengthen in the summer.

And anyone suggesting Llorente needs to step up. Christ on a bike...if you think he is capable of playing two games a week for the next two months you’re insane.

We absolutely need to bring someone in.

And that is the end of our season. No way we beat Dortmund without him. And if we beat Chelsea, no way we beat city in the final in the league cup without him.

Fed up of the whole thing really. For 4 years we have been so reliant on Kane knowing if he gets crocked we are in trouble.

People can point to when he has been out before and we did ok but what did we win then? We also have Son away too.

I’m going to blame it on Klopp.
Didn’t he recently say that we were lucky that our squad had no (or only a few) injuries compared to his squad.
He jinxed us.

There really is no alternative but to sign someone. The potential cost of not getting top 4 in the new stadium is absolutely monstrous. That United game really could be sliding doors on so many levels

Surely there is a decent striker somewhere who would come to us on loan, we are not little old spurs anymore, we can also offer CL football.... Danny offers ott money for a short term fix and there is a good striker that would come imo.

Absolutely zero chance we’ll bring anyone in. We wouldn’t sign anyone even if we lost Kane and Son until next season unless someone decided to buy Llorente for £30m thus giving us £30m to spend.
Our thinking will be either we play with a false nine or start Llorente until Son gets back, then Son will play up front until Kane gets back.

We are not a club who makes signings because of injuries to members of the squad. Wanyama has been broken for two years and we are nowhere near signing a backup DM and look at the state of CM right now.

I'd actually be ok with this if Sonny wasn't away. Worst timing possible. Surely we have to sign someone even just on a loan deal.
