We've beaten City and Chelsea without him before.

All this does is make winning the league cup that much sweeter to me.

Not against someone like Dele being played up front with Eriksen, Lamela and Moura playing around him. His movement is good enough and he can finish.

Are you selling some of the drugs you may be on? They sound pretty good. Loving the optimism!
I'm on five different pain meds daily. Unfortunately prescription only I'm afraid.

I choose to have faith in this team. The Chelsea leg we don't even have to score, just need to defend well like the first leg and we're through. Llorente isn't as bad as people suggest. His hold up play is good, can bring in Alli who can chip in with goals, Lamela too. Dier should be back soon also. To add some defensive steel in the midfield again.

Cab optimistic rate me all you like. This team and Poch have come a long way in four years together. In all honesty Kane needs a break, he hasn't had a summer off really. Let's not rush him back and risk further injury.

And honestly, I was right about him getting his results before mine yet having it done after. Must be nice being a pro athlete where you can get told what's wrong in hours, and not 13 months.

We're not totally doomed; there's enough talent in the squad to grind-out a few league results.

We may, however, get pipped at the post for 4th spot, come the end of the season...which will be unforgivable, considering our lackluster showing in the Summer Transfer Window.

Oh well, just got to ride it out and hope for the best!

Did anyone keep Rasiaks number?

I agree with the above, it’s not just the loss of Harry that makes this situation so bad, it’s that last time we had Son to fill in. Sons had a brilliant season, it’s just horrendous timing for this injury.

Why are so many missing the point that we spent millions on a striker that's hardly played, is still on the books, takes up a non-HG place and isn't in the manager's plans?

Janssen needed replacing in the summer, but it's doubtful any fucker would buy him at DL's prices.

One backup striker in Llorente isn't enough, especially considering the volume of goals Harry scores.

Janssen would have gone to Fenerbache in the summer had it not been for the fact he needed surgery. Not much we can do about that.

I still back Llorente to have a decent run of matches before Son returns. If he does, this won't seem like such a crisis. Honestly shipping Llorente out so that we can get a meager fee for him before his contract runs up in the summer and replacing him with a loanee who doesn't know Poch's methods and hasn't settled in the squad seems like a big risk. I hope we don't go down that route.

He had a deal lined up to go Brighton but he refused it, I believe that pissed Poch off.

Like Fergie, Poch needs the attitude of players to be all or nothing. It’s successful but not perfect.

We know Janssen’s attitude was questioned previously but the guy has had a nightmare year, horrible injury and is now working his way back. Surely you give someone like that the chance to impress in training at least rather than arbitrarily write him off before he’s even had a chance?

I think this totally black and white approach is a major flaw of Poch’s, though funnily enough it’s one which many top managers (Fergie, Jose) share, so what do I know. Just seems to be self defeating and honestly unfair.

Maybe he's seen enough of Vinny to know he's just not anywhere near good enough?

Lots of Dutch league strikers have been found out once they leave the top of the Eerdevisie goalscoring charts.

Janssen's list of sides he's scored against from open play is a who's who of mediocrity.
