Young player in being inconsistent shocker.

Young player in playing in a rubbish formation leaving him well exposed in midfield against the best team in the country not playing well shocker.

I love it. We have one of if not the most exciting young centre midfielder in the prem. He's through our own academy. He bossed the real Madrid midfield over 2 games. He's looking like a big shout for PFA young player of the year.

And yet still some twat on the internet throws their toys out of the pram when he doesn't play well enough against potentially the best premier league side there's ever been.

Thanks internet!

Winks is currently a great foil, but at the moment with the injuries we have he’s being asked to play the lead role. In general he’s done it pretty well, but against the best CM3 in Europe right now he rather unsurprisingly looked a bit out of his depth.

He needs help, he needs a partner, and he needs patience from the fans. Transfer priority must be a new top class CM.

If the club really wants to be known as one which developed homegrown players, it and Poch need to realise that doesn’t just mean giving them games. It means building a squad which supports their development and doesn’t leave them desperately trying to stay afloat in the deep end. A top CM Winks can be somewhat protected by and learn from would do him the world of good. Imagine what he could learn from playing alongside the likes of Modric for example.

...hopefully Spurs' professional talent evaluators aren't so blinded by fanboy puppy love...
COYS

Keep going. I'm sure we won't hear a peep out of you when he puts in great performances throughout the rest of the season and ends it by starting for England in the world cup

Now Sanchez's ban is done, I hope we see Dier move to CM alongside young Winks.. at least until Wanyama is back playing. I'd even be tempted with going back to a back 3, with a selection of either Foyth Sanchez Verts, or Sanchez Verts Davies (with Rose as wingback).. that would allow us to have either Dembele (who would also benefit from Dier there with him) or Sissoko there for just power and able to break forward. We have options, we just need key players back 1x1, starting with Sanchez.

Bit of ITK on Winksy, I've just been informed he is still injured and is having injections in his ankle. Really not happy hearing that but it's from a rock solid source, personally I know we are short but if the club are managing him like that then I think that's shocking....

Pretty sure Dembele also has injections. A lot of players play through pain, we shouldn’t play him but what’s the alternative?

Not good but that says a lot about the state the squad is in at the moment playing with and through an injury.

Really want to see him start running forward with the ball, breaking through the lines, like he used too.

I had no clue before I came in here that he was on the shit list, that was quick even for SC. Only last month he was the next Iniesta, now he's the next Tom Carroll.

Have to say watched analysis on MNF. Kane dele Son and eriksen were virtually high pressing the whole game. Leaving winks and dembele horribly exposed when the press got beaten which was often. That’s just not winks/dembele game. It would have even been tough for a 2 Of Dier/wanyama. Unfortunately Poch got his tactics terribly wrong with the personal leaving winks very very exposed.

Cheers. I wouldn't be surprised to hear it.
