I have high hopes for Winks. Last season was a wasted year.

Winks is officially our new #8
Kids today. No sense of humour.Amos has it.
And winks has said he won't take 40.
Was 40 taken?

My first thought was that Trips formerly wearing number 16 inspired KWP's number choice. Would be great to see him step up and make similar cameos as Trips did in that number.Loving Winks getting number 8, top stuff!
And happy KWP got a better shirt number too (number 16), although would have preferred he got 22, but that’s taken.

I agree, would've been great to see him in 40 for a season.
Thats making me sleepy. I think I'll lie down for 40 winks.

Remains my favourite shirt number. With his size and physique it’ll be like watching Greavsie run around the new Lane.

16 seems a bit of a tradition for backup full backs at Spurs; not a clue why. Bale in his full-back days, Gunter, Naughton and Trippier have all had it, as well as KWP.Loving Winks getting number 8, top stuff!

And Gazza's, right?Steve Archibald was number 8 as well....
Mr Ryan MasonWho was the last player to wear the no8 before Winks?
