Don't really get why he's in squad if not fit.Surely be better to get totally right ,than playing 10 mins here and there.Could quickly get overtaken by TOB who seems to be around 1st squad and travelled yesterday and most likely be on bench for Dortmund .

I think he is at the stage where he has to play through the injury to be rid of it and he probably hasn't got his head around that yet.

Looks like he still not right after his injury may take time with him this year.

Was pretty poor and off the pace when he came on today sadly,

Hopefully he gets over the injury as time progresses to get back to the level he was last year

I thought he did well when he came on. Made 2 really important tackles in the last few minutes.

A fully fit Winks with a run of games will end up with him being called up for England. I honestly believe he's already a better player than Livermore - and that's not a dig at Livermore, who is a decent player. Ox is never a CM despite what he thinks. I won't even mention the captain who epitomises mediocrity with one great game in 10.

Winks will be such an important player for us.

Prior to his injury I thought he would be a sure in pick for England.

He doesn't for me look fully over it yet which is expected with a serious first injury be interesting to see if poch trusts him with a start soon

Really happy for Winks. He can be an important player for us and offer us the passing creativity from the CM position.

"I feel like I’m 100% now," he said. "It was a perfect opportunity to put everything behind me, move on and start the season from now.

"I’ve been playing with a little bit of a niggle here and there. In the last week-and-a-half or two weeks, it really started to get back to normal and I’m delighted with that. I got pulled out of the England U21 squad to try and get it right. I got some advice from some specialists and since then it’s really started to progress and I’m really happy with that.

"It’s difficult when you’re playing at 70% in training and you know you’re really giving it everything you can but there's a little bit of pain, which is frustrating. But it’s football. Luckily enough I can say – touch wood – that everything’s ok now and it’s really feeling good and I’m feeling confident and strong.

Good to see him back last night.

Played incredibly deep at times, which no doubt was the instruction.

Wanted more from him last night, was safe, tidy but no more. Still believe in Winksy heavily, but really needs to show more verve and adventure at times.

I thought he did Ok seeing that he has had little game time. Poch looks to be easing him back in

Important for his fitness and confidence that he got a full 90 minutes under his belt after last seasons injury.

Hope he starts against Huddersfield, get him on a run of games with him and Eriksen dictating play and a lot of teams are just going to be torn to pieces.

Gave a performance reminiscent of a certain Scotty P tonight; though it was APOEL. I don't think he'll ever be a creative force on the level of an Eriksen but if he puts a shift in his passing and positioning could see him start some PL matches. The kid has some good potential and I'm glad to see that him and Sissoko looked passable in the absence of Wanyama/Dembele.

He doesn't play the role Eriksen plays...why do people keep making that comparison? He is the closest we have to Modric since Modric left. He keeps the ball moving, can dip and move, and has great control of the ball. He sits deeper than Eriksen should. He takes the ball from the back and moves it forward to where Eriksen should be. He is the metronome that keeps the middle third ticking.

dont discount the performance because it was against APOEL, Harry still had to go out and perform on not the best pitch, against very seasoned physical pros, in a midfield with dier who i thought offered very little.

because if they compare him to eriksen it's avoids the comparison with dembele whose position he actually plays in

Winks core talent is way ahead of Parker. I was a huge Scott Parker fan for years, way before we finally got him and squeezed a good couple of seasons out of him. But Winks thinks forward and his passing is quick and precise. I think there is plenty in the locker that we have yet to see. Those few bursts he had when he beat players were impressive.

Best midfielder ive seen us produce from the academy for a long time.

I haven't really seen the incisive passing and drive that truly excites me about Winks to the extent of some on here. His game reminds me a lot of Parker's due to his work rate, dribbling style and awareness - I think Scotty P would be a great comparison for him, because I don't think his dribbling or forward runs carry an exciting attacking intent just yet. He's neat and tidy, and his tackling was also impressive today, though he probably needs a defensive partner. Hope he grows in confidence, as I think he'd be a great change of pace next to Wanyama in upcoming months. Happy to see him getting back from the injury.. I just don't see enough from him currently, he has a bit of the Carroll and Bentaleb about him- nice sideways passing and flashes of brilliance, but too safe and secure - reminiscent of our academy for the past few years. I'd love to see him become great, but he was pretty average the first 60 minutes.

Hopefully he will get more game time now, he should be playing any games Dembele can't and I'd play both as a pair vs the bus parkers to be honest. Dembele is unique, but Winks offers something different rather than tying to replace the irreplacable. And he really should be in the World Cup squad if he's fit

He does have a similarity to a young Parker at Charlton, who used to make those surging runs forward all the time.

Much more to his game than Parker, when he's at his best he is perpetual motion, always looking for space and the ball, wanting it no matter if he is marked or not, and has that balance and burst of pace to take him away from players. good range of passing too, can switch it, play through balls and pop it forward first time.

Would like to see him get games against bus parkers at Wembley as I feel his game could be hugely beneficial for us.

Sorry but I totally disagree. He was our best player in the first half, mostly because unlike a lot of our midfielders he is able to execute a proper weight of pass in front of the man rather than play it level or behind. In doing so it keeps moves flowing rather than slowing everything down. He passes sideways when necessary and forwards when he can and crucially doesn't take an age to get the ball under control and decide what he going to do.

Don't get me wrong I'm not saying he's the finished article or the next Modric or David Silva and he did fade in influence in the 2nd half as he often does. However he's a far better player than Mason in my opinion.
