Absolutely delighted to see Harry get back to it today, all be it only for a few minutes at the end of the game.

I'm hoping he can gradually recapture both his confidence and form for us and if he can, I think he can play a major role for us this season.

I'm sure Poch will look after him and ease him back in gently.

Good to see you, Harry, we're all behind you.

Something to build off of. Just keep working towards full fitness and staying healthy. He's obviously got the talent, just think it's a "mental hurdle" at this point.

Shocking news on winks considering he’s only 22. Unless that’s got lost in translation.

Actually considering we just gave him a new contract I think that’s got lost in translation a bit.

It's sad how many young players with so much potential end up crooked. I hope it is something that young Harry can learn to play with and that won;t impact him too much. Heres hoping.

All from that freak injury at Burnley. It looked an incredibly bad one at the time and so it proved. Playing with pain is one thing, but I guess we'll never know how much it will restrict and curtail his career going forward. Very sad, reminds me of Ledley who sustained the injury that destroyed his career in his very first Spurs game.

I wonder if he was playing through pain before he did his ankle the second time against palace last season, if he was then he is capable at playing at a high standard because he was playing fantastically well prior to that injury.

I can’t believe we’d have given him a new contract if it was anything major. Body is a weird thing, even a deep cut can give you pain 9 months later, as I’m personally experiencing. Nerve damage can take years to heal if it ever fully does. I think it’s just poch use of the word “chronic” which makes it sound bad. Hopefully that’s just a terminology used slightly out of context.

Fuck this is absolutely awful news. Feel so bad for the guy. Really hope he can make a full recovery as there were times in his first season that he genuinely looked like he could turn into a world class player.

Judging by the press conference transcript Alistair Gold is making a meal out of it, particularly the ‘whole career’ business. Doesn’t sound like a game changer, just something longer that he will have to work through.

I wouldn't overreact. This is probably just a public "tough love" talk to get him to man up. Similar to when Redknapp went public about Bale calling for the physio every time he went down in training and Redders telling them to leave him.

I agree. Poch expands on it and after reading that, I don't think its quite as bad as the selected quotes. Saying that, its less than ideal for the boy.

I like him as a player and I hope he gets some minutes tomorrow.

I willing to bet that most players play with an injury. Most of them wouldn't raise their hand if asked, especially if a big game is coming up. I doubt every player is 100% for every game.

Shame it's all come out though, the cynic in me would say the opposition teams, if he plays, would be targeting his ankle.

We need him fit and well and playing, would love to see him boss England's midfield. With 3 or so years of floating in and out the 1st team behind him, it's time for him to nail down a place.

My interpretation is that maybe winks hasn't had full confidence in the ankle and poch is telling him he needs to forget it, go into tackles full blooded and not hold back. The reality is, injuries will occur. I really hope he can kick on, I like the tempo he brings, does the simple things well and with a better ryhtmn than our other midfielders.

I can't ever see him making it with us. I think he will prove to be a glaring error of judgement by Poch who obviously has pinned his CM hopes on this kid stepping up. He can pass a ball well under no pressure occasionally but he lacks in so many other areas and I think he is too lightweight.

When he starts for us our CM moves a level down in quality. I know he's a favourite of many spurs fans as he is academy but I'm just not a fan.

I think he's just going to be a "good" player. I don't see greatness, I just see a solid player. To get better as a team we need great in midfield.
