It’s been a total shocker. It’s been so disruptive and we’ve just not got the depth to cope.

God knows what happens vs Ajax - let’s just hope we have enough for 3 points vs Bournemouth and regroup in the summer.

Some key players as injury prone though. We know that now and it needs to be addressed in the summer

I think MP knows where the problems are but it's gonna take more than £150m to fix them. Imagine if everyone had been fit about now. 3rd would be secured already !!

Pochettino definitely said the other day that winks one day he is ok then feels some pain. So it doesn’t sound major, guess just makes sense to get it done and out the way possibly with a chance of making the final.

Should have been anticipated after the World Cup and dealt with in one of the transfer windows. Even then, it would be hard to envisage as many injury issues as we've had this season.

I posted that article about his injury this morning and it sounded bad. Terrible he’s going to miss the end of the season but at least the club are acting quickly to get the problem addressed.

There was no single time this season when we could put our strongest eleven on the pitch like 3 games in the row. Thank god there are no tournaments during summer.

I can’t wait for the season to end. Just want top 4 confirmed and anything in the CL is a bonus.

The injuries have been a sickener this season.

We really need to re-evaluate who we are relying on in our squad.

At the moment Winks cannot be relied upon for a whole season. Wanyama definitely can’t. Dier probably can as before this season he wasn’t injury prone but he’s not good enough to be a starter every week.

Only Sissoko can be relied upon in CM.

Then we have Lamela, I’ve always been a supporter but it’s time to cut our losses on him. He’s become the Argentinian Darren Anderton.

On top of that Alli and Kane have both suffered two sizeable injuries each.

Just want us to regroup in the summer and sign some top reinforcements.

If we get top and a CL final. Hopefully all these injuries will do us a favour in the summer. You’d hope Levy will realise you just can’t scrimp and compete. Also Pochettino might realise that a squad of 23 really isn’t enough you need 25.

Get top 4 and a cl semi final without spending a penny and you think he's gonna realise you cant scrimp and compete???

Quotes from Winks saying he hopes to be back before the end of the season.

Harry Winks is “very hopeful” he will be able to return to action for Tottenham before the end of the season after undergoing groin surgery.

The 23-year-old midfielder picked up an injury during Spurs' 1-0 win over Manchester City in the first leg of their Champions League quarter-final tie and he has missed five games since then.

Tottenham said Winks "will be monitored by the medical staff as he continues his recovery before commencing rehabilitation", with a potential five games left in their season should the club progress past Ajax in the semi-finals of Europe's top-tier competition.

Winks, who will also be hoping to make England's squad for the Nations League finals this summer, wrote on his social media accounts: "I'm absolutely gutted that I've needed to have surgery at such a vital point in our season.

"We've tried everything to avoid this action but I'm very hopeful that this is not the end of the season for me yet in what has been a great year for the team and me personally.

"I will be doing everything in my power to get back as quickly as possible. Thanks to everyone for the well wishes too, it really means a lot."

It seems like quite often our players get injured, we spend time trying to avoid surgery, and then have to go for surgery anyway - often weeks after the injury first occurred. Is that normal?

Right, too - they’re human beings, regardless of the amount of money they’re being paid.
