made some great saves, especially the point blank save from Lukaku. commanding his defence & punching the ball away from the corner, not afraid to come out one on one's, all round he was immense today.

Best game he's played for a while I think, hope we can keep it up and blitz through to the end of the season.

I think that was Lloris' best performance for quite a while.
No fkin about.
Cleared the ball when he had to, his kicks clean and hard and into Man Us half.
Didnt throw it out to anyone who was pressed in but only when they were in space.
And a couple of good saves when called upon.
Hope he carries on doing the basics right because his shot stopping is fantastic.

It usually is, but one or two astray and he's a liability apparently.

To be fair he kicked long tonight when he needed to, rather than always choosing to play it to a defender no matter what.

Let’s hope that continues on Sunday because Liverpool will be all over our back line like a tramp on chips.

The best distribution I have seen from him for quite a while today. Good decision making and a very good save against Lukaku.. lo g may it continue

This says we have a hell of a keeper. Seems his distribution has improved over the past couple months IMO.

Honestly GK is very hard for the layman to judge. Because there’s obviously technique involved that I have no idea about. But in a one on one shouldn’t the keeper try and make themselves as big as possible like schmeical with the star. Lloris seems to go to ground and make the players mind up. Did it against Salah as well. Like I say I’m no GK expert and only really noticed it in dybala goal after comments on twitter.

Hugo has been one of our most important players under Poch, our captain, and (definitely at the start) our primary world class player. However, as we have dominated games more, and he has had less to do, he has started to make an increasing number of mistakes. This season he has made 5 mistakes that lead to goals in the EPL, the second worst (behind Cech) in the league.

Those mistakes on top of his terrible kicking which regularly puts the defence under pressure are something he really should be able to minimize. Quite how a player of his age and experience can be so poor at kicking is beyond me. It seems he must have become a goalkeeper because he was so useless as an outfield player.

I think the World Cup will really put the microscope on him. Not sure if anyone currently would be surprised if he ended up the bad guy. However he’d literally have to lose a limb for Poch to drop him. Personally I’d love us to buy Pope to put serious pressure on him.

Yesterday’s mistake was a collective defensive one. The striker was clean through on goal had Hugo stayed on his line as many other keepers would have done.

I don't think so. He was clearing the ball from the edge of the area, that's a pretty standard place for a keeper to come and out and clear from, it's not like in his early sweeper-keeper days where he was clearing from midway in our half.

Had he stayed on his line and they scored people would have been slagging him for that :D

If you were to rerun the sequence of the clearance 10 times I'm willing to bet that falls to the striker maybe 2 times out of 10. Was a bit unlucky, and it should have never had happened in the first place with such a lazy pass given away by Dier. So, collectively it was a poor/unlucky goal to concede

He’s made a couple of mistakes, but apart from De Gea and possibly Ederson I’d struggle to name a keeper in the Premier League I’d rather have as our number one.
