Decision making for keepers?
our outfield players are the ones who need to learn decision making, because they are bots who only pass sideways and backwards.

That is why they get 97, 95% percent passing rate, yet you will be the first to applause them based on this statistic.

Are we blind?

It’s not these games he has a problem with. It’s the high profile ones.

No those are just the games that stick in the collective consciousness because they're big. He doesn't have a specific weakness against big teams.
He was fine at united

Nominated for balloon d'or along with Kane.

Still 15 to be revealed, it's about time vertonghen or Toby got some recognition too, we'll see

Anyone watching game ? Didn’t look great on goal but think he made an exceptional save as well.

Unreal save , but still seems to be letting in soft goals constantly , bloody love him but hard to justify eventually

He has had a poor few months, even the WC final he was shocking.

Having said that, he is probably the best keeper we could get, I don't think we would throw the sort of money Liverpool and Chelsea have at a goalkeeper. He just needs to get his head down and string together a few good performances although I think it was harsh we dropped Gazza as soon as Lloris was back because he had done nothing wrong. Those saves last night though will give him confidence, just hope he can start getting back to his best with us.

Come on, he wasn't shocking at the WC final. He played a fine game, he simply made an stupid mistake once everyone at France was getting relaxed after establishing a 3 goals lead.

He also hasn't had a poor few months (in football terms at least), his only bad performance for us this season was against Barcelona.

It's very clear for me that a lot of you base your opinion on him (and most of our other players) almost exclusively around the few mistakes he makes.

after watching the highlights of last nights internationals, the 1 thing Hugo is very weak at are pens. that was a poor pen he let in last night, and he doesn't save many for us even if he makes some outrageous saves

I’m not bothered about that. You don’t expect keepers to save pens. If they do, great, if they don’t I’m not bothered.

The one area he really needs to improve on (and has done for years and has been said by everyone) is his distribution. It’s terrible sometimes.

The thing is I don't think he expects to save them and that was the problem yesterday. He almost just dives because that is what is expected of him and when he is going the right way it's too late to put a proper effort in.

Had a good game overall though.

I am pretty sure his license has been taken away - for good cause.

His kicking has always been suspect, but its, his decision-making that has been spotty since the incident.

mate when was the last pen he did save, and have you seen the incident, a shit penalty like that and guessing the right way means he should of saved it.

also read the whole of I think my 1 and only post in this thread, I mentioned he makes some outrageous saves.
