Always had a feeling he’d be a top manager, he’s got that presence about him. I can see him in a black Armani suit prowling the touch line ?

I miss him... ? Such a leader.

Even watching him here way past his best, some of our current CB’s have no hope of ever having the class and leadership this man has. Love how he still plays the game so hard well into his 30’s too, such an example to his teammates

It would be great if he can translate his leadership qualities into management, and come back to manage us in a few years.

What I wouldn't do to have a prime Jan in our team now, doesn't bare thinking about.
He's exactly what we need at lcb right now.

You can't get any better. Great defensively and the way he glides up the pitch with the ball. Conte's dream.

“I spent the entire [champions league] final counting down to the 90th minute. On the way back to the hotel I fell asleep on the players’ bus. I felt really bad during that period, the link to the collision with Alderweireld and Onana was quickly made. I went to almost all specialists, but no explanation was found. I couldn’t go to a restaurant. I tried it once and had to leave after 10 minutes. I couldn’t tolerate crowds, I fell asleep anywhere. Normally I never sleep on the road, during that period it happened everywhere. I felt there was more to it and kept talking about it. Now I am convinced that it was a mental-psychological problem. Now when I see photos from that time, I immediately see that something was wrong. That my eyes were different. I was also often ‘down’.”

Must still be bad if he’s repeating himself.

Miss super Jan, one of my favourite ever spurs players, he’s proper fully spurs! Loved that little run at 1min40secs, Van Der Ven has done a few of these this season.

Would love to see super Jan on our coaching books some point in the future.
I’d be delighted to see Jan, Toby and Mousa back at the club as coaches tbh. 3 of my all time favourite Spurs players and all really intelligent guys, so I’m sure they would be a big asset.
