One of the true leaders in the current squad. Getting better with age, just like a fine bottle of wine. Always gives his all for the team.

I wouldn't be surprised if he is the shock in the summer who requests to leave as he would walk into most of the top clubs.

I have never seen such a consistent season from a Spurs player. His at Ledley level, except he can play every game. TOP 3 central defender in the world. I have no idea who would be other two, but when I watch Verts playing I can't imagine there is someone any better.

Ledley King isn't fit to face Jan's boots in reality.

Deadly serious, people tremdously overrate ledley because we were such a poor side. Both Jan an Toby are far better players than he was.

Bollocks. More likely you have forgotten how good he was because its been a few years. I remember a game under Redders where Ledley came in after a spell out against Liverpool and absolutely dominated Suarez who was on fire. That was without training or match fitness. You would struggle to find a more naturally talented defender.

Dumb question but do season ticket holders get a vote for spurs player of the season?

Whilst admirable - I don't think him being consistently injured means we should think of him as being a better player than he was. He was good - but with Jan and Toby we have consistently conceded the fewest goals in the league or something close...I don't think we ever achieved that with Ledley in the side and he also committed his fair share of mistakes many of which live long in the memory. People like him because he spent his whole career at Spurs, but that was only because he would have never past a medical anywhere else. He was desperate to go to Chelsea if I recall. Lest we forget Ledders never even managed to play in the CL for us...I love the guy and thought he did well for us, as did Robbie Keane and David Ginola in their turn, but the players we have now are much better...surely that must be clear to even the most nostalgic supporter.

Keane, King and Ginola would all start for us now. What was your point?
