Not sure if speculating or informed guess but if he's out that long its not good news.

Roberto Martinez: “Jan Vertonghen might miss two Belgium camps. Bad news.” Out at least between 4 and 6 weeks with an hamstring injury.

Him playing on for 20 minutes after doing a hamstring is looking like a better decision every day.

At least we have Sanchez who did very well vs England in that left side of defence. I know he had a torrid time vs Barca but I'm hopeful he and Alder will prove to be a great pairing.

I get the feeling we’re going to be much more strict with players going on international duty now after what happened to Dele.

So probably making out the injury is a bit worse than it is to the Belgium FA. 3-4 weeks is my guess.

Hoping he’ll be back for the City game.

The positive spin is that the injured players will get a breather and may even be able to go on a small holiday. The negative spin is that even if we do have a good squad, how long will it take before guys like Alderweireld, Dier, Trippier or Kane will do their hammy as well?

Sanchez will get a run of games now, he was exceptional last season and I don’t think this in and out of team is any good for him. We did fine with Jan and Sanchez last season and a lot of people seem to rate Toby higher than Jan so we shall see how he organises our defence in coming weeks.

Aldeweireld did bad damage to his hamstring last season and took months to recover.
