Give the man another deal, 2 years with an option. He doesn't look to be slowing down at all. Sort out Toby too while you're at it Levy. We have 4 quality CBs and used them all last night.

We need to offer him a longer contract imo. I know he’s had a few injuries and is over 30, but it’s not a Dembele situation.

Jan edges for one reason.... He brings more calm to the defence. Last season he got Sanchez playing very well, this season Toby hasn't had that effect on Sanchez. Jan is our leader at the back

Eh, I find this to be a narrative that doesn't really have any basis in reality. The defense (for the most part) crumbled in big games last year without Toby. I've posted the record a few times but it wasn't pretty, including this year against Arsenal.

I love Jan’s celebration. Shame we so rarely see it these days.

Watched with a couple of mates who are Spammers and both of them said that his celebration is quality. One of them through gritted teeth as he really hates seeing us play well.

Its strange, ain't it. We have the best 4some of CBs in world football, keeping them give us such a fantastic base of the squad and gives us so many options on how to defend different teams. I love watching them.

He has been like that all year and has been one of the top three players this season for me.

I dont know what the contractual situation is or whether things have moved on where they are irreparable. It would be madness to lose any of the back five - the one stable area of the team.
