villa are bloody woeful, one of the worst footballing sides in the division.
Some of their fan blogs were running a poll to see if they should fire Bruce and rehire Tactics Tim Sherwood back... hope it was a joke but they're in quite the state at the moment. Can we send a rescue mission in for Josh? :sorry:

Such a fucking shame that Poch didn't play Onomah in a CM3 in any of the friendlies pre season, as the CM3 system we are now using would have suited him perfectly, and he'd have been a shitload better than Sissoko in it.

For what it's worth, I watched the Villa highlights last night and the only two Villa chances they showed were created by incisive passes played by Onomah.

If Bruce gets the sack maybe Onomah gets recalled. But even then I've got very little faith in Poch playing him in CM, especially in meaningful games.

Seemed like a good move initially but villa look really hopeless and heading straight to league 1

I wonder if this loan has less to do with playing time and more to do with allowing him to show his character. He's in a tough position so it will be interesting to see if he rises to the occasion.

Strange time to post this, after Sissoko's first game for us in central midfield where he performed admirably.

He still made some really daft errors.

He performance admirably by his standards lol. ;)

I don't think Sissoko is really the issue for Onomah. They have very different skilsets.

It's Winks that is taking the place of young, passer in the deeper midfield position. Deeper than Eriksen and Alli anyway.

Guess at this stage Poch cannot give both the required playing time.

Don't know why people would rather Josh stayed, when in 1-2 weeks Wanyama, Dembele and Winks* are all going to be fit again. (*not sure on Harry's timeline)

Yup Onomah needs a full season as a consistent starter, playing once every 6 weeks does nothing for him at this stage of his development.
