Looks like he could be some player. Comfortable on the ball, which has been evident since debut, but now is proving he's up for a battle, and also has decent height and recovery pace.

More than happy for us to funnel all funds into CM now with his emergence as a genuine player for us

Never doubted him, even after last weeks disaster. The boy has talent, comfortable on the ball. He's got to watch how he goes into players in the box, that Palace player could have easily hit the deck today, but when he hits his peak in 7 years time it'll be scary!

iirc in the second half, he made a pass to Aurier with his chest from a Hennessey long ball.
You have to be extremely confident to do that in a rainy day and winning by only 1 goal

If we move to a back 3, I can see Foyth being the CB who makes the surging runs from deep to progress the play. There were times when he wanted to drive up the field but then remembered that no one was covering for him

Extremely impressed with this lad. He is fantastic on the ball, quick, confident and tough. Thought he was brilliant after a nervy start.

Great prospect.

Good player. Doesn't panic, comfortable on the ball and could be an absolute steal even for the money we paid.

He’s always looked a good player. I’m amazed about any negativity around him in the past. Not many players his age can be premier league ready centre backs.

The most impressive thing is how he didn’t crumble last week in the last 15 minutes and yesterday after the back pass to lloris (which actually may have been more the conditions than nerves). He just carried on and got his reward.

He seems like he has a very good temperament. Really good management from poch to put him straight back in after last week and get back on the horse knowing he could handle it.

He has that millisecond extra of time on the ball that marks out really good players

He's taken everything in his stride which is a sign of maturity and confidence. He has an unflappable air about him and the footballing ability to read the game, position himself properly, make the challenges and make good use of the ball. That combination is very hard to come by, even in players 10 years older with bags of experience. Very excited about him and hope he gets plenty of game time. As I said a while back, the prospect of Toby leaving doesn't look anywhere near as daunting now.

The only thing lacking in his early couple of appearances was an ability to deal with a big lump up front.
I shouldn't imagine this is something he had come across in Argentina but a willingness to want a physical battle isn't guaranteed in a young CB.

But what I love about him is he doesn't shy away, and rather just using brute force, has learned to lean on an opponent at the right time to just ease them out of the way. He then collects the ball and plays it out.
Him and Sanchez will be a perfect combination in the future.

You can image our future defence consisting of Foyth, Sanchez, Gazzaniga, Walker-Peters who are all young. A force which will be the envy of the Premier League. When they reach their peak in a few years they should be inpenetrable .

I'm probably in the minority but I prefer watching young players develop rather than buying in established ones.
To me the galactico model is like playing a game on cheat mode whereas there has always been a sense of connection with the younger players when they come through.

It might not win us many trophies but we still feel like a football club with a team we can identify with.
And if we do win trophies with these lads it will be a lot more satisfying.
