Can I just ask as I’ve gotta be honest and say that I’ve never seen a single game that this lad has played let alone the 3 appearances that he’s made for us....... where is all this hype coming from?

I'd be lowkey devastated if he left. I truly believe he's gonna be a world class center half and seemingly a great compliment to Sanchez's style.

Feel like if Sir Alex was our manager he'd play Juan and KWP a lot more than Poch has.

Sir Alex lost both pique and pogba by not playing them enough. He even brought Scholes out of retirement before playing pogba.

As for poch, I agree the list of great prospects with no opportunities is getting long. Kwp, Foyth, onomah and Edwards, at least the last two are actually playing football.

We really need to start blooding a few youngsters.

Great point, and I think everybody who is bemused or disheartened with Poch's management of young players have to admit to ourselves that all managers even the all time greats fail to transition some of the best youth players from time to time.

However like you said it's becoming to frequent with Poch, and that's the point I was trying to convy in the first place.

Personally, I've seen him play youth football for Argentina and was over the moon when we signed him. He stood out like a diamond, two footed, his reading of the game, and always playing comfortably out from defense like if he was a midfielder. I don't think de Ligt is any more promising than Foyth, unless we've broken him with his lack of game time.

Agree, oozes class. I saw him live against Burnley in the carabau last season and didn't look out of place or get out muscled, which I though could happen. Hope he stays, will be up there with the best of his generation. I heard he was a #10 in early youth football, his passing range and mobility are great assets at the back.

This guy has so much talent. We should be giving him more time or he’ll leave

So comfortable on the ball, and he’s quick. Surely we could play him at DM is we’re struggling to slot him in at CB

Only saw the highlights that they kept showing on SSN, but that one tackle he made was wonderful. Also, he’s really bulked up since last year.

And to think everyone was pining for DeLigt in the summer. This guy should get more game time if Toby leaves rather than blocking his path
