I really like Trips and Davies too but they are very competent squad players getting their chances mainly for working hard and showing loyalty. Aurier clearly no where near as ready to come in for Walker as what various people who seemed to have watched some YouTube clips and then passed themselves off as seasoned Ligue 1 experts were saying and in our biggest games of the season against the very elite sides (apart from Madrid when Tripps was excellent) they have been targeted as the weak links - Juve even said so explicitly

Dier has a much higher ceiling than his current level but maybe expectations are higher now 3 years on but he hasn’t hit the heights of that first season he played in DM

Lose one league game in 2018 and all of a sudden some of our players aren't good enough.

Didn't want him going the Davies tripper route. They would've been better midweek when we'll have all the possession and trip will have time and space to cross

Now it will be Rose and Aurier, and trip and Davies for fa cup.
Think Rose and Aurier is our strongest easily

I was actually surprised how many tackles he was making. And that block while on the ground was fantastic. But yeah, he does worry me against top teams and can't seem to find the space to get in the crosses that he used to.

Trippier was beyond crap yesterday, one of worst performances by any of our players all season, thankfully he's not always as bad as that, in fact sometime he has very good games, but he probably averages out to someone more suitable at a mid table team, not good enough for any of top six unfortunately, definitely need to upgrade and doubtful so far Aurier is that answer...

Weird how he's not good enough for a top 6 team considering he's our first-choice RB and it's very likely we're going to finish 3rd or 4th.

We was nowhere near as bad as people are making out, as a team we weren't at it in general.

Since being destroyed by Sane last year defensively he has been very good.

Might as well go the whole hog after a defeat in the league against the champions after a 5 month undefeated streak and say Alli is not good enough, what about Sanchez? We bought him last summer but I'm sure according to the logic of some on here he must be sold after yesterday as well as Kane.

Our fan base is turning more and more into the fans we laugh at from a club down the road

Tonight was the sort of game I glad we had Trippier on the field rather than walker.

Unfortunately that hasn't happened enough this season but he does have a much greater end product and passing ability despite his faults

He was good in the first half but not in the second. I’ve been saying this for a long time, he’s a very poor defender, Holebas and Richarlison was getting past him all the time. And the the thing he’s good at (crossing) he can’t even do most times because he doesn’t have the pace and can’t get past his opponent.
Because we won’t sell Aurier we should sell him and give KWP the chance

He's a good solid player, but nowhere near the levels people talk about him.
His crossing has been poor this season, in my opinion, and his unwillingness to cross or his need to take a touch and lose the crossing opportunity has been frustrating.
Defensively he is average. Gets beaten too easily, and positionally he is suspect. i'm not sure his defending has improved over this season.
He seems like a top lad, who gives it his all and has a great attitude, but he needs to work on his defensive side and attacking play if he wants to get to the top levels.

I believe Tripps is becoming Poch’s weakness. I will say it here now, that I rate KWP better than him. Tripps has more experience-agreed

He's just not good enough defensively, I would go as far as to say he's actually a lialbity.

If Aurier isn't good enough to displace him then we need to buy another right back this summer.
