Hopefully he pushes Kyle out the door. The bloke needs a good kick up the ass. He thinks he's better than he actually is.
Well hopefully they both push each other to perform at a higher level. But if Walker doesn't step up his game... Then he can be pushed towards the door. :p

This is like the Stambouli stuff from last season. Completely outta nowhere.

Think it depends on how Walker performs next season, if it is a similar one to this season then yes he will be off, if he has a Rose season then he'll stay.

I hope so as his speed is unplayable when used properly. I really can't see it though. I just think he is going to be disruptive to our progress and cause uncertainty at the back and then that will then filter through the whole team.

I'd happily eat my words sprinkled with winguts if he can manage to turn it around a la Rose.

I wonder how many fans truly think that is gonna happen though....

I have every faith in Walker doing a Rose (that's gonna be a saying now isn't it?), Kyle has proved he can be a very good RB, just look at his first season with us picking up young player of the year, so it's not like he can't do it.

Can't see it. He's just too rash now. It will be a monumental turnaround if he does manage it though...far greater than Rose's.

And that would be Yedlin. It's obvious that Pochettino doesn't rate him at all. Buying Yedlin was a low risk gamble and a PR move.

If we've sold more than £3m in merchandise in the US, then he was worth it.

Another Toda/Mabizela/Khumalo

We signed Trippier?!? My god what a brilliant bit of business if true.

I suppose it makes sense when you look at it by each fact. Walker has been struggling recently, Fredericks has only a year left on his contract and there will be interest, Yedlin looks to need a loan, Poch does like to rotate his fullbacks considerably with midweek games, and it's said Trippier has a low release clause.

Excellent, excellent bit of business if this is true.

Don;t know very much about the lad. You think he can cut it in Poch's system?

I just think poch needs a sit down and be blunt with him and put his arm round him too, the ability is there he just needs to realise it again.

It's not his ability, it's his brain (the footy one).

He's not an intelligent footballer. Not sure you can teach that.

I think so, absolutely. Quick, hard worker, well balanced in attack and defense, very athletic, and fantastic passer/crosser of the ball. If we're indeed looking to sell Fredericks with interest for a player with a contract winding down, I'm frankly stunned at us looking at this deal. We just don't make clever purchases like this. What a start to the summer IMO that we're even interested.

I like the potential of taking advantage of the instability/mess at Liverpool. If it's true they too were interested in Trippier and Ings, this is a good opportunity to push.

On another note, Pochettino said we needed to strike quickly in this window, and we could certainly do that with Ings and Trippier, while letting the MS stuff go on until the last day until we sign another average player.

I think poch will take it slowly with him, use him here and there in EL, cups and some prem games (even on the right/left wing).

Got a feeling once he grows into things he will impress.

He recently had invasive inguinal surgery, one of the worst areas for an athlete to have corrective surgery. He also didn't get that crucial six months with Poch which Schneiderlin said the Saints squad needed to adapt to Poch's system, while the rest of the Spurs squad did. I think we can afford to be patient with Walker and see how he responds to genuine competition. Once he took an edge on Naughton, it was game over from there. Walker has never had legitimate competition since taking the first choice spot at Spurs.

Yeah, I've heard that does induce batshit decision making. ;):D

I don't know why, but I'm in a really good mood now. I love a story/signing out of the blue, especially ones like this.

No, hopefully, he pushes Kyle to become a better RB, so we have two very good options that fit Pochettino's system.
You believe Kyle can still improve? I honestly don't. Might improve his form but not his ability to defend or stop making silly mistakes which he's been doing since HR days.
