A bit of a conundrum..Does not have the pace or drive to effect our attacking play and struggles to recover or position himself correctly when defending.. Not great credentials for a fullback who is playing for team with top 4 aspirations

Surely be off in summer if has to play 2nd fiddle again. Which is how it’s looking. KWP new back up. Take the £30m win win.

Totally agree. I don’t think we will get that kind of money for him just based off who would likely buy him. It’s not going to be one of the Big 6 and could see it being a side like Watford. I Think £20-23m is what we are looking at and I think that’s pretty great.

One of his best performance this season. Brilliant slot in towards the box when Jones put the goal behind.

I've been very critical of Trippier but have to admit he was fantastic tonight, particularly after the first 15 minutes or so. The heated competition with Aurier will hopefully continue to bring out the best in both of them.

The stick he was getting at the start of the game was embarrassing, glad he shut all of them up. Fantastic game.

I was just a couple of days ago saying I "can't wait" until he is sold. Glad he proved me very wrong today. He was great today.

2nd fiddle? He has more appearances this season than Aurier.

Personally, I dont think he's great but Aurier seems a bit of a loose canon (reminds me of Disco Benny) and KWP is by no means a sure thing. I dont see Trippier leaving unless we bring in another RB.

Aurier had clearly become No 1 before his injury. Trippier obviously upped his claim tonight. And it’s probably pretty neck and neck now. However you have to say United gave him the freedom of Wembley. His physicality still worries me defensively against better opponents. But I’m being fussy. But if we want to really challenge City is he consistently good enough not sure.
