Shocking to see all the hate on Trippier! Yes he had a poor game, maybe a few others this season but he has also done some wonderful things for us at this club... Probably the best crosser in our team!

A guy if his experience should no never to play that pass. Never want to see him play again

Ive had a go at Trippier recently and he annoys the fuck out of me the finger pointer but Poch keeps playing him and shouldnt particularly in a back four. Attacking wise he is very useful but his mistakes tend to always cost us

Not saying he is to blame for the loss but he has cost us a fair few goals this season that couldve been avoided.

His positioning is also poor and I dont believe he deserves to be first choice right back. Its time for Walker-Peters to get a regular shot.

How many chances did he create in the 2nd half? Was our most dangerous outlet by a mile. IMO One poor pass does not make a goal a 'gift' after a great assist and pretty poor goalkeeping, it doesn't make his performance overall a poor one, but I'm fairly sure the ratings thread is full of low numbers and tonnes of vitriol from the usual suspects.

5 Tackles (most in the team with Winks)
3 Key Passes (most with Kane and Eriksen)
84.6% Passing accuracy (including crosses)
7/14 Accurate Crosses (also won corners)
97 Touches (most in the team)

You do realise UTD singled him out as a weak link right? They flooded the right side because of son, davies didn’t even get a chance to cross. Trips had the whole pitch basically to himself and well he done what he does best, absolutely nothing.

Hugo should have saved that, you're correct. But he shouldn't have been put in that position in the first place.
It was a pinpoint finish after recieving a inch perfect pass, that's the quality the punishes you at this level when you make a basic as fuck mistake. The only way that United doesnt score in that instance is if Trippier doesnt make that hospital pass in the first place.

Yes Tripps is one of the best crossers in the squad but he was brought in to the club, first and foremost, as a defender. However his defending, on many occasions (tonight and in the past) has not been good enough for a team with our ambitions.

We need an upgrade on him. Unfortunately there are more pressing areas of the pitch that need immediate reinforcements first.

City home, wolves home and today united home. 3 games 9 points all due to Trippiers fault. Thats why we can never win the title while liverpool can.

Still worth keeping at the club imo poch just needs to make sure he understands he cannot play wank passes like that against good sides espes ially when that side has been looking to counter attack and it is on half time.

Too many lapses in concentration, and too much finger pointing. Fans will quickly get on his back. Yes he sets up goals and is part of our attacking play, at times invaluable. However lost count how many big games he's made school boy mistakes. Needs to be left out of our high profile games for a while. KWP and Aurier have been better recently, wonder why Poch doesn't trust them in these big games, whereas Trippier keeps letting us down!

It doesn’t matter what we might think of Trippier, it’s obvious that Poch trusts him above Aurier and KWP. That’s a worry.

Trippier is technically excellent, but just doesn’t have the physical dynamism to compete against the very best. He often finds himself having to play difficult passes deeper, because he either can’t beat his man or lacked the speed and power to offer himself as an option in other areas of the right flank. Sissoko has been doing a lot of his leg work of late.

Aurier has the physicallity, and sound technical ability, but his lack of concentration is his greatest fault.

KWP, despite being older than both Alexander-Arnold and Wan Bissaka, seems to be some way behind them now. I don’t think it’s for his ability, but more his slight build. However, will he ever be considered strong enough for the PL if he isn’t given a chance to play, compete and become more resilient? It’s been a year and a half since his debut away at Newcastle, and there doesn’t seem to be any improvement in this regard.

I suspect if one were to go it would be Aurier, simply because the other two are HG, despite the Ivorian having a potentially higher ceiling than either of them due to his combination of physicality and technical ability.

If we were to bring in another RB, there are options around. Win Bissaka would cost the earth; Aarons looks a good prospect; Meunièr has fallen down the pecking order at PSG (yes, another RB from them) but has always looked classy whenever I’ve seen him; and finally, Youcef Atal at Nice looks an extremely exciting prospect, full of speed, dynamism and skill.

Meunièr would easily be our best fullback...dude has skills! Would love to see Trips get his ass chewed by the team leaders after these bonehead plays.

He was doing fine until his first error and then his head went.
Errrrmmm, he had a bad giveaway before hand and was also caught wildly out of position at least twice before that goal.

He’s single handedly at fault for losses against Liverpool, City, and United. Almost cost us 3 points w/ Wolves away. That’s 9 points. Almost 10. At fault for multiple other goals. He is an abysmal defender. And it’s never his fault apparently according to him. The sooner he is dropped, the better off we will be. Now and in the future. It is high time to get rid. While he still has an iota of value. Sell him now. Use the money for some fucking electrical engineers to fix the fire alarm mess at the new place.
