I think he's proven, but his quality has taken a drastic backwards step this season. His effort and work rate are unquestioned.

He's a good full back, and a very good right sided midfielder I think. But not the best Wing Back. Having to combine both jobs seems to be a struggle for him. In a system that suits him, such as Southgate's England setup, he thrives.

But even when he gets forward his attacking instincts has gone to pot, his best attribute is crossing and that has gone down the shitter too. He might be able to recapture his form with us but we cannot risk him have another season like this for the teams sake. If someone comes in with a decent offer for him we should take it.

I agree, that's why I said he's not optimal for our system, or what Poche needs from a Wing Back. We still try to play like we did with Walker. For Trippier to shine he needs to be in a more traditional system I think. Ironically, targeting Wan-Bissaka suggests a shift to the more traditional full-back, which requires a more traditional winger... which Tripps could be.

However that is very speculative, so you're right in that if someone wants to sign him and he feels he'd rather play in a team that allows him to thrive, then he will probably move on.

I think if he was good enough in a more attacking position he'd be playing there, the same with Danny Rose.
Not in this team I think, because we don't employ traditional wingers. We use very malleable attacking/creative players who can drift across the width of the park. If Rose and Tripps had played in the 90's they'd have definitely been wide midfielders.

I’ve never been that much of a fan of his but if he’s been playing with an injury all season then that does pose a few questions.

He does seem devoid of confidence brought about by his blunders but if he’s not got full faith in his body then that may have contributed to that.

If that’s the case you’ve got to ask why the injury wasn’t properly dealt with especially as we have a plethora of people who can play right back at the club.

The vast majority of games palace didn't play with a traditional winger, they played either an attacking 433 or a 4222. We don't use a traditional system so I don't see a place for trippier. Plus I don't even think he'd make a good right winger either.

Well, the last world cup suggested he could, as he was one of the best performers in that tournament. But fair enough. I agree that he struggles to maintain a high quality in our system.

I'd agree, but would simply add on the end "he just isn't good enough, as a defender".

In my.humble view He's an old fashioned right winger or would be better playing on the right of the am3.

I really like Trippier and whatever happens hope.he does well.
He's a good crosser of the ball, but he's not fast or tricky enough to be a right winger. He literally can't dribble.

The article says £30 million (the bbc have it wrong) but they need to sell cancelo to Man City first. Cancelo was one of the players we looked at when walker left.

Be very happy with £30 mil for KT. However, it’s crazy that Juventus are in for him. Think that he could go from having a poor season with us to playing with Ronaldo and winning the Italian league.

If we could actually get 30mill for him, then why not try and sell Serge too and pay the 60ish mill for AWB.

Yeah it's a crazy amount for a defender, but we're covering most of the cost through Tripps/Serges' fees, and it'll be an upgrade that lasts 10 years.

Is that The Times of London, or The Times of Arkham Asylam for the Criminally Insane?

To be honest, I think it's good that they give the inmates recreational activities to do.
