Poch has shown repeatedly that he won't take any shit from players. Adebayor, Kaboul, Capoue, Walker all tried it on in some way and were jettisoned. It encapsulates the ethos that no player is bigger than the club. I also think that signing Foyth has been a direct result of what transpired with Dier and the gears are in motion if he gets out of line again. I think we'll do the same and go all guns blazing for Sessegnon in case Danny Rose steps out of line again. Sure, we may lose some individual players, but I'd rather that than weaken the whole dressing room.

Thing is, you are reading this from the outside, being caught off guard by something you hear for the first time. All the players won't have the same reaction, though. There is probably nothing in the extracts or the entire book that the players are not already familiar with and probably most of them think those incidents are of little importance now.

You're probably right, this is why I don't know where to sit on this because I am not sure how the players feel about it and anything that I think would be a complete guess.

I would like to think that our club wouldn't sign off on something like this unless all parties had already seen what was going to be written and approved it but then, humans are capable of making huge mistakes so you never really know.

why the fuck didn't walker just wait until the end of the season??
Probably ego. He probably thought he was in a strong enough position to make Poch believe he should always pick him first and used it as some sort of threat, although it does sound like City had been tapping him up for some time.

Is there more stuff about the trip to Argentina then? Don’t see much wrong with a bit of banter about falling out of a boat.

It's more that this is stuff you just don't hear about mid-season, this whole thing is crazy.

I love it. Glad Walker fucked off, the selfish prick. I hope we destroy him and his team and pip them to the title. I'd love to see his face then.

There would be a real satisfaction seeing us winning the league but doing it over a player that left us to win titles at a rival and then pipping that very same rival to the title would be the icing on the cake.

A sending off, conceded a penalty, own goal and two poor performances last two games. City fans want him rested for Danilo.

Good chance of winning the league but he's already had quite a few brain farts

Still can't believe we got £50m for him, he'll be slowing down in a year or two and then he's shafted.

I agree, but that's spookily similar to what we've seen from Aurier. (I like Aurier btw).

But these are Aurier first few games in a new country, different pace of league and different quality. Walker has been playing Premier League football for almost a decade now.
