No swap deals. Take the 50m from Walker sale and re-invest in Lemar and Barkley. Promote KWP to backup Trippier.

I'd take his pace and trickery. Played correctly he can be a total menace.

He wouldn't be a starter though. Our front 4 at the end of the season was Sonny, Dele, Eriksen and Kane. He isn't getting in ahead of any of those. Sonny maybe if he's out of form or whatever but we banged in 13 goals in 2 games at the end of the season. One of those games was without our most creative player.

With regards to Trippier, why don't we see how that pans out if he's actually given a consistent run of games for us, because I have a feeling he may start challenging Walker for the England place that Clyne (and that's how moot being England number one is right now) has been challenging him for for the last couple of years.

Thought Trippier was one of the few players to come out of that last England (v France) game with any credit. Played a lovely first time ball for Sterling.

That was a beautiful pass. Very impressive. It looked so natural when he played it. Very nonchalant.

I thought being England's first choice wasn't any measure of how good a player was, though? ;)

It definitely isn't. But that proves the point I was making doesn't it ? Trippier's had a handful of PL games for us and is already challenging Walker for that role.

Yeah, Other than Walker and Clyne there's not much else really.

Trippier definitely deserves a crack in a friendly though. Hopefully he'll get even better if he becomes our new number 1.

If Walker goes to City I'd imagine he'll not be too happy if he misses out on his England spot. Well, other than counting his cash.

Ideal scenario is we keep both as not only do we currently have the best RB and LB in the league we also have the best back ups

I am absolutely fine with selling Walker, and hope we just promote up KWP who deserves his chance.

I'm not against promoting KWP but wasn't there ITK saying the coaches didn't think he was quite ready yet?

In Poch we trust blah blah.

Check out @hotspurrelated

On twitter someone has met walker on holiday and he has said he does not want to leave

Whilst that's great to hear. He's not going to tell some random people on holiday he's not happy and wants to leave. He seems the type that would toe the party line until any deal is done, and no doubt will speak in glowing terms of the club when he does go (and rightly so)

why are you fine with it? Surely we won't buy anyone better than him so we will be weaker in a very important area of the pitch. Tripps isn't as good as Walker. Sell players that won't weaken our first x11

Sorry am i getting this.....are you saying you would be confident of mounting a title challenge and hopefully having a better CL campaign with Trippier and KWP as our only RB's ?
