I think the main culprit here is Poch. He's the leader with his decision to back and play him. And it's his system he is making him play within. I think we really need to direct our ire towards MP and not Kyle and the supoprters, as they are ultimately innocent bystanders just doing their jobs to the best of their ability.

I remember an amazing piece of play from Walker back in November 2011. He ran down the right wing at unbelievable speed beating his man with a beautiful touch... leading to a goal in the 3-1 away victory over Fulham. I thought that would become the norm, but sadly offensively he has rarely delivered like that again. Saying that, I'm happy we have him. I'm more concerned that we have two full backs in Walker and Rose who are both quick, but neither gifted defensively. I think it's ok to have one full back like that, but not both. Their pace tracking back can often save us, but the lack of defensive know how is a concern. Both still young though, and hopefully will develop this part of their game.

And just of interest, Walker is the only member of the match day squad that day in Nov 2011 still at the club. The other 17 have gone. Big changes in four seasons!

He's playing good football. If he's our Azpilicueta with little to no offensive contribution but can lock down his side, I will be happy.

I like Walker a lot apart from the occasional lapse of concentration he's a very good left back.

A fantastic performance today, he kept that right-side extremely quite all game, in no way, shape or form should the blame for their goal be on his head. I just hope that people don't resort back to the lazy "brain fart waiting to happen" esq critique that gets thrown at him if he has a poor couple weeks, head and shoulders above Trippier as it stands.

Top draw today, the goal was not his fault and he kept Sanchez pretty quiet really.
Fair play to the lad he's really upped his game this year don't think he's had a bad game all season.

Another example of a player being driven back to his top form by the purchase of a rival in his position, same with Rose and Davies.

I feel a bit sorry for Trippier and Davies that they must've felt confident at making the positions their own given the prior performances of the current incumbents, only to find both Rose and Walker massively improving over the long term.

We've effectively paid about £13.5m in order to get the best versions of Rose and Walker back, and have some decent cover. Not really complaining, though.

Quite pleased because I have always been a fan of his and been behind him. I think he has the right attitude.

Always said he was key to us. All our good spells in recent years have been with him in the team. And a lot of our poor form has been when he has been injured.
