Great news and fully deserved. He's turned himself into one of the top defensive fullbacks in the league. Probably only behind Azipilicuta and on par with rose. And i think that's what most people miss when talking about kyle is that he's a defender first and a really good one at that. so he may frustrate going forward, but he does offer a threat going forward while performing his main duty off shutting down the opposition's left wing

I have not seen this topic discussed anywhere also, although I have a strong feeling it is discussed....but, anyway, how on earth wasn't Neil Taylor given a red card? Dembele got a 5 games suspension for something that was far less bodily harmfull. Walker's season could have been over or even his career if this karate kick had hit his eye (or smashed his jaw). Shame on the ref and shame on FA if not action is taken.

Because it wasn't intentional, I agree he should have been off though.

Doesn't really mean squat though does it. Dangerous play is dangerous play whether he meant it or not.

Did he get booked for it?

Players often given a card for a high boot that is dubious (because quite often one player leans down to head it) and then this effort doesn't even get the player a talking to? Very odd decision I thought.

It does when he compares it to Dembele's eye gouge.

That's true but there was no reason whatsoever for the boot to be so high especially when there is another player so near by.

It should, at least, have been a talking to and a yellow even if there was no intention to injure a player. It's still considered dangerous and irresponsible play.

Walker is absolute quality

Just wanted to add that

We're going to miss him and/or Rose so much when they're gone. Will be very difficult to eventually replace.
