We're going to miss him and/or Rose so much when they're gone. Will be very difficult to eventually replace.

I don't see why we should be thinking about that just yet. Both love the club, have recently signed new contracts, have improved tenfold in the last 2 seasons, and best of all are only 26 year's old.

No reason why they shouldn't be with us for another 5 years.

1 Word Pochettino!

Carrick: 2006 (Yes that was 10 years ago)
Berbatov: 2008
Modric: 2012
Bale: 2013

We haven't sold a player to a domestic rival since 2008. Walker & Rose are both very good premier league players but can you see one of Bayern, Barcelona or Real Madrid coming in for them? Whilst we are competing how we are I don't see Poch selling any one he doesn't want to and I can't see any top players wanting to move on.

Bale & Modric are world class and they went to RM not United. Walker & Rose are very good in their respective positions but I wouldn't , currently, consider them as world class. Not yet, at least.

Carrick & Berbatov went to United when United was much more successful than us. That's not the case in recent times.

Both players will be 31 years old when their contracts expire. Both players have expressed their happiness playing for us and playing under Poch. As such, I don't see them leaving for the foreseeable future.

I doubt the likes of RM, Barca or BM will go for them. City, Chelsea and the other EPL clubs know Levy well enough, not to try and pry any players from us ( unless those players are unwanted by the manager - which isn't the case for Walker or Rose).

Crazier things have happened in the past, but I honestly don't see these two leaving within the next 2 or 3 years, by which time, they may be considered too old for the buying club.

There's also the attractiveness of the spanking new stadium to keep the players here.

We haven't sold a first-team player since 2013, despite promises from the likes of @yankspurs who swear every couple of months that all our players are going to leave.

With the new TV money, we have no need to ever sell our best players.

Who would even want Rose and Walker? We don't sell to domestic rivals anymore and I doubt any big foreign club would want them.

If we keep progressing the way we are there's no reason to lose Walker, can see him continue to be first choice for the next 5 years, would be good if we had KWP pushing him as well.

Extremley impressed with his performances this season. He has cut out those brain fart moments whilst also improving defensively

It does when he compares it to Dembele's eye gouge.

It wasn't an eye gouge though, was it? Dembele's hand didn't touch Costa's eye and Costa reacted by grabbing the other side of his face. There was less aggression in it than the time Torres scratched Vertonghen's face, and was completely let off for that.

As for Taylor, sure he probably didn't intend to kick Walker in the face, but he went in with his foot up at head height and caught him just above the eye. A couple of centimetres lower and he could have had his eye out. It was reckless and dangerous and should have been punished with a straight red card and a three match ban for violent conduct/endangering an opponent.

Either way the intent was different, that's the point.

My point is that they're still unappreciated right now and some people will probably only see just how good they were - in combination as well as individually - when they're no longer here.

Two of the best bits of business ever done by the club.

You've lost me.

Dembele intended to do what he did, but there was very little chance of him injuring Costa, yet he ended up with a six game ban. In fact the punishment he received suggests the authorities didn't even look at it properly.

Taylor didn't intend to kick Walker in the face, but it was reckless and could have caused serious permanent damage which could have threatened Walker's career, yet he received no punishment at all.

The laws of the game don't state that there has to be intent when administering punishment to players, instead it depends on whether excessive force was used and an opponent's safety was endangered. Ergo the punishments received by Dembele and Taylor are completely skewed.

Yeah so you agree with me, that's what I've been saying all along.
