Okay. Now we are struggling to sign any players. He is possibly the only quasi new signing for us. He is going to be very important this season (With Son going to the Asian game, injured Lamela and a tired Kane)

Will be the breakout player in PL this season. Fan-favourite by end October, and established name in the starting line-up by Christmas.
I don’t think so. He’s got incredible skill and pace, but his movement and intelligence is somewhat lacking. Thought it might get better with a preseason with Poch, but apart from against a shambolic Roma defence, he’s been quiet in the other games.

I’m looking at this guy to be our world class signing. Please be the guy I know you can be. You rapid little dribbling machine. Just shred teams for me. I beg of you. Please be just unstoppable and become our fucking Salah.

I disagree. I will concede that he isn't the most perfect fit for a Pochettino team, but to me, Pochettino need to lower his shoulders on a couple of his usual requirements and just let Moura be unleashed to his fullest. He can become immense, but he will never be perfect in a traditional Pochettino role.

He’s an off the cuff kind of player, and with the ball at his feet he can do great things, but when we doesn’t have it he doesn’t make enough runs off the ball, which, with his pace is criminal.

Hopefully Poch won't insist on playing him inverted and play him in his proper position on right side.

Personally, I feel that Moura could be one of our stand outs next year if we give him the opportunity. Added some excitement whenever he had the ball for the few opportunities he had last year.

One things for sure....we are going to need either moura or lamela to be a huge influence this season. Could do with one of them developing into a top pl forward.

Thought he didn't look very comfortable playing up top, he's much better coming from wide. Wish we would have gotten to see the 4-3-3 with him and Son on either side of Kane today. We ran out of ideas pretty early on.

Did a fair job but had nobody to play those intricate little balls to run off. Dier aurier and sissoko couldnt get him service

Did OK in a game where most of his team mates are very much lacking match fitness. Have to judge him when he is playing with a team in full flow

Hate to say it as it feels like slagging him off but I don't think Sissoko's role in team helped him. As Sissoko plays that strange right side CM corridor role it meant Lucas was ending too central. Plus he's not exactly the best technical passer to have behind you.

Lucas' best position I think would be right side of a 4-2-3-1 with a full back behind him. He's definitely someone who needs a bit of space created for him to impact a game.

Mauricio Pochettino delivers injury update on Tottenham duo Eric Dier and Lucas Moura

The Spurs boss has been talking about the two substituted players

Mauricio Pochettino has allayed fears about Tottenham Hotspur midfielders Eric Dier and Lucas Moura.

Both players were substituted in the second half during the Premier League victory at Newcastle. Goals from Jan Vertonghen and Dele Ali saw Tottenham to the 2-1 victory at St James' Park.

Dier limped off in the final minutes and Lucas was spotted with a bag of ice against his groin on the bench after his withdrawal.

With so many injuries in the Tottenham squad currently, Pochettino needs everyone at his disposal so football.london asked how the duo were doing and whether the knocks or strains were serious.

"No, no they are ok. I hope that Monday they will start to train with the team. Eric Dier was so tired. He felt in the end cramp, but Lucas nothing," he said.

"I think it was very good competition today with a big squad. Massive competition between them and I'm going to rotate in the next few weeks, trying to give the possibility to all the players to play and be important."
