It's a bit odd some people slating a player that hasn't even signed for us yet hopefully he will, let him settle in and see what he can do I think this could be an inspired signing imo.

*cough* Sissoko........ some people just know how certain signings will turn out

Maybe in home games against park buses. This midfield will get destroyed against most quality opponents. Also, if Toby's fit no way he's not starting. As good as Sanchez is, in a back 4 he's not breaking the Belgian connection.
I would have thought the same at the start of the season, but then we smashed Liverpool with a CM trio of Winks, Dele and Eriksen, and we got a draw at the Bernabeu with a trio of Sissoko, Winks and Eriksen in CM, and a win against Madrid with the same trio for most of the match after Toby was injured.

With one of Dier or Wanyama flanked by Dele and Eriksen in midfield, i actually think it helps us against the better sides. It gives us more quality when trying to play out after being under the cosh, and it means we have players who can pick the precise passes needed when we play on the counter to the pace of Son and Lucas and hold up of Kane.

Any tactical reason why? Or are you just trying to cram certain players in.
Far more creativity against the bus parkers, more match winners, speed, goals and something a bit special.

Also, see my post directly above this one for why I also think it would be effective against the better teams as well.

Never seen this kid play but it sounds like he has pace to burn and the ability to beat a man.

That's something we're desperately lacking.

Has it been made clear if he is cup tied for Champions league yet? He was registered but never played so I'm not sure what the rule on that is.

He is not cup tied for CL since he never played a match for them.

He isn't cup tied. He has to actually be fielded:

https://www.uefa.com/MultimediaFile.../Regulations/02/46/71/38/2467138_DOWNLOAD.pdf

As a rule, a player may not play in a UEFA club competition (i.e. UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League, but not UEFA Super Cup) for more than one club in the course of the same season. Exceptionally, however, a player who has been fielded in the first, second, third qualifying round or the play-offs of the UEFA Champions League or UEFA Europa League is entitled to play in the UEFA Champions League or UEFA Europa League for another club as from the group stage. Moreover, as from the start of the round of 16, a player can be registered in accordance with Paragraph 44.01 to Paragraph 44.04. A substitute player who has not been fielded is entitled to play for another club competing in the UEFA Champions League or UEFA Europa League in the course of the same season, provided that he is registered with the UEFA administration in accordance with the present regulations.

Won’t don’t people like Moura? He isn’t that fast but he has ability to beat people particularly in tight spaces. He has a tendency to cut inside on the ball go past a couple of guys and either get a shot off or slide a pass back into the hole he just left.

He’s not a burner but he doesn’t have to be. Our problem is unlocking stubborn teams and I think he’ll help with that. He’s more ginola and vdv than he is bale or lennon. Fine with it.

And apparently not cup tied, we’d just need to take out one of our other foreign guys.

Pretty sure Lucas is ridiculously quick.

It's an exciting signing for me. On paper at least he is exactly what we're missing. 11 goals and 19 assists last season even in a slightly inferior league is a great return. No shame at all in not getting in PSG's front 3 this year, and we look to be the club who will benefit from then spending £300m on 2 of the world's most exciting attackers.

£23m is a snip in the current market too. In the context of Norwich wanting not far off that for Maddison and Fulham by all accounts wanting nearly double that for a 17 year old, it isn't a bad price at all.

Might go tits up, but it's exciting nonetheless.
