His style is totally different. For one thing he’s actually smart in the final third and can inside, outside or play off another player.
Townsend literally just cut in on his left and hit it as hard as possible.

So I'm not qualified to say after seeing a few clips on YouTube the way he runs with the ball and physical appearance reminds me of Townsend?

I'm not saying he's on the same level as Townsend - just by the way he runs with the ball and looks physically from the clips I've seen...

I actually know what you mean. I have no idea if he plays like Townsend or not because you really can't tell from clips so I wouldn't compare the two in terms of ability on the pitch but I agree in that just based on how he looks when running that he looks similar to Townsend, I thought the same. Maybe for example if you were to look at Lennon and Sterling clips you may think they look similar as they run in a very similar fashion (with their arms and hands out to the side, lol...) but their results on the pitch are quite different.

Agree his running style and body shape does look similar. However, I think that’s where the similarity ends..... I haven’t seen any clips of Moura running to the corner of the pitch and back again

I find the Townsend comparison truly bizarre. I don’t even see them as having similar running style / dribbling technique. Lucas is slighter and a lot nimbler.

I've allowed myself watch a few youtube videos. If Poch can get him back to the sao paulo version circa 2012/13 then we really have a bums off seats player on our hands. Quick, tenacious, has an uncanny ability of snaking his foot into 40/60 situations and coming out with the ball. As others have said, something we don't have in our team at the minute and seems comfortable both left and right of a three.

Looking at youtube vids he is exactly the kind of player we need. Explosive pace and loves to run at players with the ball at his feet. I hope he lives up to the skills he shows in the vids and isn't a shitter PSG are getting off their books.

There is approximately the same likeness between Lucas Moura and Townsend as between Ginola and me.

As others have said he really isn't anything like Townsend.
I have seen a reasonable amount of Moura and I would say the player he reminds me the most of is Willian.
He has pace but doesn't look to use it every time he gets the ball, he looks for the through pass just as often if not more.
Most of his attacking attributes are decent without being exceptional. I guess if Poch can develop some of these then it could be a great signing.
