I think he'll be starting tomorrow.
This is good news. I just have a feeping he has the wearwithall to make a difference when we need it

VDV went to the beat of his own drum ...that can be good.
Players like that have to impress the boss first then they will zoom.
Im hoping anyway
He isnt VDV but he does have presence and he has talent and its most important for him make things happen when we need it
We need a player like that.
I like what Ive seen so far.

I'm more confused about how someone can have a good touch and poor control...

I think that last international break was big for him. Promising cameo on saturday. If he starts I'm sure he'll be eager to impress.

Same for Son too.

Hopefully it'll be an enjoyable game.

Well Ill explain it

You can get the ball and pass it off quickly right to a man
Thats a good touch

You can also dribble into 2 or 3 defenders and lose the ball
Thats is lack of control of the ball

Both Lamela has done....I think because in some cases with flicks etc its good (his touch)and others his decisions dribbling into no space for instance puts him not in control

That's not poor control, that comes down to decision making.

His ball control is generally very good.

I think Poch will play him tommorow hopefully from the off.
If he could play Eriksen too to create some chemistry it would be good.
Id put them in with Lamela as he would press well and Kane as he will want to play
We can even play without a CM
Just a DM and Play Dele instead
Lots of creativity.

Decision making is control
You seem to be struggling with the basics of playing football. And I am with this whole conversation.

I think some of you might be a little disappointed by the reality of Moura. He's a dribbler and that can often get an ooh, especially in these 20 minute cameos, but his decision making can be a bit hit and miss and that is more apparent when he starts games.

He's not shit or anything, but from post match comments Saturday, I get the impression some on here think he's a bit Neymar.

You can see what he means though. I’m a huge fan of Lamela, but though his first touch is often very good, he can take too many touches and not release it - which can be quite frustrating.

He's a dribbler? Is that what he does? He passes too. He looks like he reads the game too. He gets himself in space.
Do those things count?

He runs into trouble a lot. Hus flicks are good. He has been with us a long time and he is better, much better, tgan he was but he is no game changer and doesnt put his stamp on a game.
He us umportant for his niggly pressing and for his flicks hete and there but ftom a control point if view he doesnt control too much.
If he did maybe he would be a serious factor but up to now he is overall a good player far from a great one.
