He definitely offers something we haven't had lately. Get the ball to him with space to run at defenders and he will cause havoc. More than that he's clearly a natural finisher and that's priceless. Imagine marking Son for 75 minutes and then this guy comes on fresh. Or vice versa.
I'm excited to see both on the field at the same time each running at the defense all game.

He is amazing, needed a couple of months to get himself together but he's been excellent so far, gives us genuine pace up top and hiw work rate is really impressive.

This is why you don't pay £75m for Zaha

Btw I saw a comment likening him to a Salah like influence and while that was probably over the top I really think he’ll hit 20 this season. When you consider that alongside Kane, Son, Alli and Erkisen, I think we’re in for a high scoring season. We may and most likely won’t win the league but I’m excited!

he's quality. forget last season. He was used haphazardly. He had 5 starts and 11 appearances and still managed a goal and 4 assists.

Pace is one thing, but pace with exceptional ball control is another. Then add great vision to that and you have what he offers.

He ran and ran to the end. Was a delight to watch.

Sure he's got the goals so far, but that's just reward for his outstanding work off the ball when we don't have it. He doesn't press like a madman (ahem, Lamela), but his anticipation of where the player in possession is going to play the ball is uncanny. I've lost count so far this season how many times he's started his movement just as the opponent is about to make a pass and nicks it just before it gets to its intended target.

I imagine Pochettino is probably more impressed by that kind of stuff than he is the goals.

Poch must simply love this fella. All energy, obvious good team man, a very decent human being, skill, pace, ability.

He appears to be exactly what Poch wants for a member of his team.

He's like a new singing for us this season...and his obvious personality and exuberance will lift everyone involved with the team.

loved his interview, love his belief in the club. he's very much the final piece to our attacking jigsaw puzzle.

So glad he's showing his quality. I never wanted Zaha, because he's not an upgrade on Moura. Last time I posted that, I got a ton of negatives. I really think he'll have a great season if he shows the skill and - just as important - effort he did against United. He's not just quick - he busted a lung trying to get onto everything, and he really can finish.

Remember when we played Liverpool at the beginning of the 16/17 season and Poch said that we lacked a "Mané-type" player? Moura would give us that type of player. That's why he's a much better fit need-wise than Barkley would have been.

Cutting insight from that chap.

He needs a much better song than "There's only one Lucas Moura..."

The 'More, More, More (how do you like it, how do you like it)' song doesn't work if you sing his full name each time, but does work if slightly adjusted to 'More, More, More-raaaah' (how did you score it, how did you score it).

We should adopt it a.s.a.p!

That last goal was like the rebirth of Bale.

Fuck this line hit me like a train. I still remember those days where bale gets ball from half way line, started dribbling, then i say to myself "he's gonna score".

I love kane and hes like that loyal wife but bale is that ex that gave you the night that you will never forget.

Sorry but him and Zaha in this team would be devastating. I would still pay 75m for him. This will get disagrees because people love Son, but i will always say if Son doesn't score he really doesn't bring much to the team - he's not rapid, not a fantastic dribbler and not super creative, don't get me wrong he is a solid player, but i see him as a squad player. People like Moura and Zaha (Zaha even more so) scare teams so much with their pace and dribbling ability and Son isn't quite that level, this is what we have been crying out for since we have lost Bale and Lennon to a degree and i would still go all out for Zaha in January / Summer next year. He would complete our attacking system and give us great options.

The thing about Moura that makes me laugh is how far he can stretch his legs out and nearly nicks the ball unexpectedly each time and he can jump about 2 metres in the air. We finally have a player who will run at players directly, no one else in our team could have waltzed past Smailing as easy as he did, and Smailing's best trait is one on one defending...... it was beautiful and the finish emphatic.

But Zaha isn't anywhere near Son for consistency and Son is a better finisher than him as well. That's the whole point of buying Moura because he brings to the team what Zaha brings so having them both in the team wouldn't make sense especially the way we play.

Son is an overall better player than Zaha, I don't know how you can say that Son is a squad player and make out Zaha would walk straight into this team especially the way Son has performed in the last few seasons.

Hard not to be excited after that performance. Can't remember if I read it here or elsewhere but there are signs of an understanding with Kane which could be a huge bonus for us. The pass from HK for his second was exactly the kind that he'll thrive on, and it looked to me like Kane made a near post run to clear space for his first as Eriksen crossed from the right and Lucas arrived in the space he'd left. Kane is well equipped to play those passes and make those runs to open things up for him. As well as Son and Kane have played over the last couple of seasons I don't think they're always quite on the same wavelength but the early signs with this combination are encouraging,

I'm salivating basically.

Lucas kept talking about God after the game. Clearly he is referring to Harry...
