More than anything else I think the change in formation is crucial this season for opening teams up. Playing Moura (or Son when he returns) off Kane makes us look a lot more deadly. The game was very stretched yesterday and Fulham were very open too. It will be interesting to see how Moura does against teams that park the bus. What he does have though is scary pace and the close control to go with it. He isn't like Bale who knocks the ball 10-20 yards forward and uses pace and power to outrun an opponent. He drives at defences a bit like Messi and skips past so will draw plenty of fouls as well as assists and goals. His close dribbling could really help to open teams up in those tighter games. Something we struggled with even with Bale.

I was particularly impressed with how many interceptions he made. At least 3 by my count. Good stamina as well, didn’t stop all game. Keep it up Lucas.

Hard not to be excited after that performance. Can't remember if I read it here or elsewhere but there are signs of an understanding with Kane which could be a huge bonus for us. The pass from HK for his second was exactly the kind that he'll thrive on, and it looked to me like Kane made a near post run to clear space for his first as Eriksen crossed from the right and Lucas arrived in the space he'd left. Kane is well equipped to play those passes and make those runs to open things up for him. As well as Son and Kane have played over the last couple of seasons I don't think they're always quite on the same wavelength but the early signs with this combination are encouraging,

I'm salivating basically.

Not sure about the run for the second goal. Kane looked to me like he was about to fume when the Eriksen pass didn't go straight to him only to then start cheering when he saw the ball was in the net. Agree with the rest though. Moura could turn out to be our best attacking signing for some time.

This is exactly the player I remember from the brazilian u-20, years ago.

We have ourselves a really good player, who's gonna get better and better

I really do wonder just what he's capable of this season... He setup 3 goals in that Leicester game at the end of last season, scored 2 against Roma in the preseason, scored against Girona, now 3 goals in 3 games so far. It's exciting to think of what he can do over a full season.

I'm hoping be can give us that extra edge that Salah managed to give Liverpool last year, and in doing so, may just relieve some of he attention in games on Kane, allowing him more space also.
If/when we line up with a variation of 433 that includes
Dier/Wanyama
Eriksen - Lamela/Dembele
Moura, Kane, Son/Alli
There are going to be so many danger players, and so much fluidity, opposition teams won't know who to focus on.

I really want to see a game where he and Son are lined up on both wing. We saw it in that FA cup game where Llorente scored the hat trick but I'd like to see it against a legitimate opponent.

Agreed. If Moura can keep this up, plus Son when he's back - we have a legitimate threat across the front line and goals from a multitude of areas.

Alli has been excellent since joining too but we've relied heavily on Kane as our goal threat and in certain games, that can be dealt with (not always as Kane is excellent but the United FA cup game last year is an example). Having speed and movement elsewhere really throws the oppo out of sync and means there's space for Kane to operate. With Alli's knack of arriving at the right time as well, plus Eriksen's threat from range it's looking really positive.

Yesterday was his best game in a Spurs shirt, but all season (including pre-season) he's looked good. He's the direct, tricky runner with the ball that we've lacked. I can't remember many goals we've scored recently like his second yesterday. A genuine case of beating a man and finishing. It's not something that Kane, Alli or Eriksen do, as good as they are.

Exciting player to have in our team and seems a top guy too.

I thought he was a bit of mixed bag until he scored. Some really bad touches, running into blind alleyways - he still doesn't look on the same wavelength as the rest of the team. However his pace and bravery are such an asset that it's hard not to warm to the guy, especially after his double. Hopefully the more he plays the fluent he becomes but currently I still think there is a lot of room for improvement.

I could read that as a Son / Lamela player watch post to be fair. Be interesting to see how poch manages team selection when son is back.
