I thought he was a bit of mixed bag until he scored. Some really bad touches, running into blind alleyways - he still doesn't look on the same wavelength as the rest of the team. However his pace and bravery are such an asset that it's hard not to warm to the guy, especially after his double. Hopefully the more he plays the fluent he becomes but currently I still think there is a lot of room for improvement.
Very predictable review coming from you. Your points may be valid, but most apply to other top players as well but it seems you are reluctant to address the positives (which far out weigh the negatives where he is concerned). That bit I highlighted however, is just not true. Considering he is the new kid in this established team, he was more in tune with the team than you give him credit for.

Lucas is potentially a world superstar and was often thought of in that way before it all went a bit wrong for him. If he continues to make progress we could have a really, really special player on our hands.

Or he could be remembered like Willem Korsten.

£25m. What a snip in today's market.

I perhaps think that one reason why we ended up not signing another attacking player was because Moura was impressing so much in training and pre season that poch felt there was no need to bring someone in.

Having him play up with Kane was very interesting and clearly worked well, we all know Kane can pick out a pass and if he is going to feed Moura the ball like he did for the 3rd goal then we can expect more goals from the little Brazilian.

I recall watching him last season make the odd appearance or two. I was simply tickled pink that we somehow managed to buy this diamond in the rough at a mere $25M. As it was clear he had something very special about him. But would need a preseason to gel with the way we play and get his fitness to a level consistent with Poch's expectations. So, I'm just so pleased to see it all come to fruition. We have needed a player like him over the last couple of seasons that has that ability with a bit of magic to unlock a stubborn defense.

Keep in mind, we haven't come close to seeing the full impact he'll have on the team. As the more early success he has, the more likely opposing teams with key in on him, which will invariably open up space for others on the team. This is a benefit you don't often hear folks talk about when it comes to the overall impact the likes of Salah has had at Liverpool. Once opposition teams started to 'try' to nullify his threat, it opened up a lot of space for some of the other very deadly players in their team. I think there's a fantastic chance Moura will do the same for us.

I love what Verts had to say after the match about him, and how he'll be a nightmare for PL defenders. This, based on coming up against him in training. And keep in mind, we're talking about Moura giving fits to three of the best CBs in the league with Jan, Toby and Davinson.

Keeping my fingers firmly crossed that he can go from strength to strength.

Spurs fans were singing "ONE LUCAS MOURA, THERE'S ONLY ONE LUCAS MOURA" at OT last night, there's a video of it somewhere

More like Stephane Dalmat! If Poch has been in charge of Dalmat we may have had a great player!

Hopefully he can do it with Lucas. Has the potential to be amazing. I must admit I haven’t been totally convinced until this game. He showed some good touches against Newcastle and a great goal against Fulham (as well as a horrendous miss) but very noticeable how much effort he’s putting in, which has to be down to Poch because he specifically said last season that the reason he wasn’t playing him is because he needs to leave now to track back etc.

The game yesterday confirmed he could be a worldy. His finish for the second goal was so calm and perfect. His game in general - His pace, his effort, his chasing down, his interview.... I’m excited.
