Out until the New Year says Poch.

Well that's shit news but not surprising. Obviously you can't predict or prevent injuries of this nature - however Dembele has had fitness issues for a while and therefore we only have ourselves to blame for the lack of options in central midfield. Poor Harry Winks, despite his undoubted talent, is going to be run into the ground over the next few weeks.

Our bad luck with injuries just keeps on going. With all our attacking options at the moment I would not be surprised to see Eriksen play the Dembele position a few times.

Bad news given all the games coming up - at least Sissoko looks better these days!:nailbiting:. Love watching Dembele run with the ball.
Maybe give skipp a game as long as there are some older heads around him to help him through.

This one has nothing to do with luck. We've known for literally years that he wasn't going to go on much into his 30s. We've had years to replace him and haven't.

Wasn't there a story that part of the reason he was considering a move this summer was because he didn't think his body could hold up anymore? Would make sense if he wanted to move in January, he's only lost money on another contract in Italy or China based off this season. I wonder if he regrets turning down Inter now.

Uhmm, how can you way that? His injury clearly was because his ankle got rolled badly... it happens all the time in sports and it is because of bad luck and nothing else. It was an accident and not because of poor fitness or anything of the sort.

I practive tennis every night, and I'm actually just coming out from an injury very similar to Dembele's (it's just that my ankle got rolled because of a misstep, while Dembele's was because of a collision with another football player). I suffered an ankle sprain of second grade, and it has kept me out for six weeks, so I guess Dembele is suffering from something similar as well.

We should just be greatful that Dembele didn't suffer a third grade sprain or that could have been it for his football career.

Devastating news for the GOAT and for us. Out until New Year with a heavy schedule is gonna tear and wear the boys that are fit. Let's hope Wanyama, Dier, Winks and Sissoko can cope and stay fit

We have developed Winks for the past 2 seasons to replace him. Injuries like this can happen at any age.

Sure he is already first choice for me but he can't play every game

we need to be careful with Winks as well- given his major, recent issues.

It looked to me like his legs had gone towards the end at Wolves, but I'll confess he covered an amazing amount of ground against the Dutch.

Injuries like these CAN happen at any age, but injuries like these happen MUCH MORE FREQUENTLY to injury prone 30-year old midfielders with a manager known for his intense physical practices and games.

This isn't just bad luck, most saw it coming this season.

Well it's not an injury linked to previous ones so I would say it's unlucky. It came from a collision with another player similar to what happened to Kane.
