Great player who will go down as one of the club legends. So happy he will not play against us. He'll do great in China. Best of luck to him. Just a shame he went out injured in his last game.

Thankfully Sissoko has stepped up to fill the void and Winks has had a good run after his injuries. Both players offer something different in the same way Dembele did replacing Modric. We wont replace him like for like anyway, he's one of a kind.

We all know it's coming and happy for him. We must invite him back for the new stadium, whenever it's ready.
Thank you Moose.

I hope he gets a chance of a run out at the new stadium, maybe an invite for a cameo in pre-season?

Truly a great, but enigmatic player. He had one thing in common with Modric although he did it in a completely different style. When the ball was at his foot (when healthy and vested in a particular game), half, it not all of the defenders would pay a little less attention to the player they were marking. That created more space and time for other players. He probably held onto the ball a little too long and he is shooting was, well, less than optimal. However, he was a rare talent who made the players around him more effective. He will be missed.

One of my favourite players. Balletic in the ball and just watching him backed into a tight spot and drop his shoulder and off he goes will be hard to forget

Poking Costas eye out was also true commitment to the cause

Yet another player declaring Dembele as our best player.
We will miss him greatly and I think it'd be silly not to replace him this week.

What is going on with our recruitment. Surely including this window and two previous we knew we needed Dembele replacement. But it appears we just hope cheap options come up during window. Little future planning it would appear. And it's at least 4 or 5 windows without a suitable back up striker for Kane.

I got the impression Dembele stayed because we couldn't get our replacement in the summer which is one reason we facilitated his transfer this window and why it was done with great respect, also think that's why we are trying very hard to get the new man in now.

Chinese window also closed before the World Cup was over, id imagine that complicated things this summer.

Slightly OT but whenever I watch these videos it’s so clear that we have a wonderful team spirit at the club. We have something really special here right now.

That makes it even worse. We surely should have had the replacement lined up, even announced for the summer. I was not expecting much this January but at the very least we should get 2 big targets signed now so they can be here day 1 of pre-season. Something is not right with recruitment.

Good luck, big guy. Absolute class and unplayable on his day. Still love that video where all the Spurs players interviewed say he's the best player on the squad.
