It is an interesting one.

As we all know Sissoko is not of the quality required. But his function is largely to use his physicality to cover for the wing backs who are important to our attacking play.

People keep saying we can play Onomah or Amos but to my knowledge this isn’t their game.

For the long term we need to sell so if we get an acceptable offer for Sissoko that he will accept then we have to take it.

Why would they need to replicate sissokos role? It’s not like sissoko replicates any first teamers role when he comes into the team

I don’t care now. I’d rather we got rid now but as long as Winks and Dembele stay fit there won’t even be a place for him on the bench like last night.

Because Sissoko gets used for that role. If Poch needs a player to use his physicality to cover attacking players our wide then Wanyama and SIssoko suit that. Though Wanyama is much more central.

All I am saying is Onomah and Amos can not fulfil the Sissoko is deployed to play, even if it is one we don’t use that often.

That role is only there for sissoko cos of his limitations, no one’s worried about who’s gonna fill that role if the rest of the squad is fully fit, it’s far from vital

When we are late in the game pushing for a goal and the wing backs are fully pushing forward a player who can get around the pitch and sweep up is helpful.

I have not said it is vital, only that Onomah and Amos are not suited to do this.

I think we’ll survive without him

Have no idea how anyone can think keeping sissoko is a better option than giving Onomah or Amos a chance.

Not what is being discussed.

Sissoko is used to cover attacking players, especially down the wings.

Onomah and Amos play more centrally and will be competing with Dier, Wanyama, Dembele and Winks for playing time.

But we have Alli, Eriksen, Moura, Son and Lamela in attacking options. This is why I never got why we were prioritising Martial or Zaha, we’re well stocked in attack.

My posts said we should sell him so I have no idea what you think you are disagreeing with.

I haven’t disagreed with anything I just think the role sissoko performs for the team won’t be missed ss any player that will come in for him will offer more in other facets of their game

What on earth has that got to do with what I said?

Why is everyone quoting me then discussing something completely different?
