The tackle you are talking about. Watch the pace to make up the ground as kovacic is so far ahead of him. He also gets up and walks off like nothing happened while kovacic is feeling like hes been hit by a truck :ROFLMAO:

If anyone deserved to be on the end of a crunching tackle like that, it’s someone who attempts a rabona cross when they’re 2-0 down away from home in a London derby.....

With that said, Kovacic would a good addition to our team.

Happy that people are now backing him which is great, but if he goes through a bad run of form can you please keep the same energy and support him?

Amazing turnaround from him. Hopefully he can keep it up. Poch has learnt to not get him to do things he can’t do. So both the player and manager should get some applause for that.

Fast becoming a club legend, and I hope all who slated him are currently enjoying horseshit sandwiches. :)

I think a lot were justified to slate him over the last few years. His performances were not that great, let's be honest. He deserves his praise now because he is playing well..and deserves the accolades. I, for one, was proven wrong about him...and I firmly want to continue to be proven wrong.

1st half especially on saturday he was immense and the best performance i've seen from any of our midfielders all season.

i have slated him as much as most in the past but on this form he has shown me and all others wrong. long may it continue.

and for the 1st time ever i hope he does read this thread.

I was one of the few that actually was happy we signed Sissoko when we did. Convinced he was the box to box CM we could do with and would be a good signing. I was proven completely wrong about that with his rubbish first season performances, but I never did understand why Poch played him out wide? He was never suited to that role at all, a fish out of water.

Whilst I am pleasantly surprised by Sissoko's turnaround, he is now showing to be the player I thought he would be when we signed him, I wonder why it has taken Poch so long to play him in his natural position.

It was always obvious to me Sissoko was best as a CM where his qualities can be properly utilised.

Anyway, it doesn't matter now. I thought Sissoko's turnaround actually began last season when I thought he put in some decent performances, yet was still harshly criticised, however his performances have this season improved remarkably.

It's actually a joy to see him play at the moment, his power and strength in the middle, he's like Viera on steroids. Yes, he will never ever be technically good, but if he keeps it simple then that is fine. At the end of the day, for all of Dembele's close control and excellent skill, his passing is not really much better than Sissoko's. Both are transition ball carriers, who accomplish it in slightly different ways, but in that sense, Sissoko is a good replacement at the moment. Carry the ball upfield and pass it simple to a better technical player, that's the job. Also, track back and win the ball etc. Sissoko is showing he can do that role very very well.

I feel like I've developing a bit of a man crush on him.
He reminds me of Son, you can't help but like the guy.
The tweet trolling Kane - that's priceless that is.

I think even the haters, the staunchest of haters, knew he was capable of performances. He did it to us for Newcastle. He did it for France all the way to the final of Euro 2016 and was one of, if not the MOTM in that final.
He had moments for us that were often burried under acts of woefullness.
But this season he has played well pretty much all game, every game.
It's getting to the point now when if he does misplace a pass, you let it go now because he's done other things well. It used to be that you didn't notice his good work through all the dross.

At the moment, IMO, he and Lamela are the 2 most improved players in the league.

Lamela has played at this level before so I’d disagree with you there. He’s just fit now. Sissoko has massively improved no doubt.

Lamela hasn't scored, assisted and dominated games like this for us.
He's put in different kinds of good performances where he's contributed to the press, tackled a lot, run around a hell a lot.
But this season he's been winning us games rather than contributing to games.

i hold my hands up as thinking that he was too technically limited for any Spurs team. Luckily, we're blessed with a coach that has the vision to mold players such as Dier and Sissoko into playing in new positions.

Is anyone any good on Photoshop? Would love an image of Sissoko's head on a goat's body to put on a personalised mug for my Chelsea-supporting boss (serious request, I just got him in Secret Santa).

Would repay you in much love and goodwill.
